The true art of raging a forum is not spamming, this can be cleaned up
pretty quickly. It is to set members against each other and cause rifts that
will ultimately destroy the forum..
Do you all not realise what DocRock has done? He's turned everyone in this forum against each other, whether on purpose or not.

Drop the flaming and forgot the past week happened on the forums, or
else the community will completely fall apart. The community has
already had one loss in this, and if this continues then more are
likely to leave.

DocRock has done nothing of the sort.. I think you'll clearly see the
majority of people laughed at the inane whining and self promotion that
he carried.

Whatever your opinion of him, he certainly hasn't achieved that. If
anything he succeeded in creating a rift between himself and just about
everyone else.

I think Orph used some appropriate words for this thread, and no offence everyone, but the word is melodramatic.

Once again, peace

To be honest Orph, I consider you more childish than me. If you're going to leave simply because you don't like the way Lep runs things, then well... iffy piffy.

Don't cry because an admin does their job, and you happen to be on the receiving end of it.

I quote kyle : "I hate seeing kids with admin powers run everything like they own it."

If they have admin powers, then they probably DO own the place. Tuff noogies. They might not be the most responsible admins on Earth, I admit, some "kid admins" really don't do their job right (trust me, I've seen 'em.) I have however, seen kid admins who a perfectly fine or even perfect job with how they run things. I don't know how old lep is, but he does a fine job at admining.

Stop crying. Frankly, I'm fed up with your finger wagging as well.
Agreed.

Did'nt Orph have someone post a rather lengthy farewell for him just some months ago?

I will be the first to say I liked him, but he does have a tendency towards hogging the spotlight, and I think this last, or rather most recent hurrah, if you will, proves it.

I also whole heartedly agree with Gwill. Stop with the martyrdom stuff here guys. Orph was just reacting in a way that he feels comfortable with.

I imagine he will calm down and be back. If not, well, thats life. The Snarkpit will move on without him.

For the most "adult" child...
For the most threats to leave a forum, and to return days later...
For the most "who's the best mapper in the world" threads in a week...

This, well deserved trophy, is for you, Mr. Orpheus.

I believe I speak for the majority of mappers who actually take pride
in their work and aim to produce GOOD maps, not mediocore piles of
crap, when I quote "Go now, and die in whatever way seems best to you"
DocRock.

People had disagreements with Orpheus, but not to the point where they
lashed out in public, and yet he still picked up on the subtle hints
that people dropped. You, on the other hand, can't face the facts when
they're staring you right in the face. It's been said countless times
DocRock, and I'll say it again since I've never had the chance to say
it on these forums. You're not welcome here.

Don't convince yourself that you know the majority of mappers.

Don't convince yourself that you have authority to tell me I can't post here.

Don't convince yourself that you're worth the time I took to respond to your nonsense.

Go away N00b

Doc, A n00b is someone who is childish, immature and arrogant, someone who goes around calling people who beat him "f4g" and screaming out "h4xx" when someone just happens to know where he is. I can sometimes be arrogant (nvidia vs ati  ), but I am certainly not childish and immature. I've been accused of hacking many times, and accused of being a "fag". I don't hack, and I'm not gay.

Calling someone a n00b in a mapping forum, SHOULD mean that, "Hey, you can't map! "

Someone 'new' or crap is called a newbie. A n00b is the specific term refering to the scum you find in most CS public servers.

I am, in fact, egging Orpheus on...because I know, without a doubt, that he will return in a blaze and try to slay all of us with his words of elder knowledge.

I am willing to bet, that he has already several times written a lengthy response to many things alot of us have said in this thread...in notepad. Prepared to post it, but then stopped.

He will be back. I bet you. Take my bet.

I'll stop egging him now and remain silent. But when he returns, I'll shout at the top of my lungs: I TOLD YOU SO!

I'll see ya soon.

Urrrh, I can recall one occasion where it was indefinate - but I think it might be twice..

Is it really important? To quote myself, shall we move along now...
Orph has gone, whether or not he comes back is entirely his decision.

There's no point hammering out this issue when the person it revolves
around isn't even an active member of the boards, and all that.

Peace

And by this, what will you gain? If he comes back, for example, to respond to all the bulls**t you've been spraying, does this make you superior? Will you go to sleep at night thinking, 'Man, I'm sure glad I got Orpheus to come crawling back to some internet messageboards despite it that I and my arrangement of fellow nubs came out of our caves to rave about how he's immature.'

Orpheus is a dramatic person, that's easy enough to see in pretty much everything he writes; he treated the boards, even specific threads, with a great deal of seriousness. I also believe that this is a warranted feeling, considering he had, when I last checked, the amount of posts and influence that any other member had many times multiplied. For Orph, I imagine, being here is not an offhand thing like it is for most of us, it's a real hobby.

So, Doc, your arrogance pissed someone off again. Is your mother proud of you? - because you've just won the prize.

Why does this always happen when I go away for a bit, and why's it always linked to Orph somehow?!! A curse, a curse I say!

To you guys who just keep making silly jokes and 'lol'ing through this thread, I salute you, the internet needs more of your kind, rather than this churlish trolling nonsense. Enough!

Anyway, I'm sorry that he's gone and that he wasn't happy with the admining here. Shame he had to inpret my "next time please don't act like you run/own the place" comment on his oh-so-mature and wisdom filled thread into some kind of insecurity that he'll take over from me :/ If anyone else here has a problem with the 'strict' admining here or me getting tired at what seems to be enciting endless bitchfests, either as open or sniping attempts, and trying to run pretty happy open forums, then feel free to go away too, otherwise it'd be nice to have you stay
