Well, not everything. Some of the high production quality American shows are good, such as X-Files, 24, and possibly (not seen more than a couple of episodes so too early to judge) Without a Trace, but I guess they won't appeal to everyone.

I'm not saying there might not be occasional gems, I'm just unwilling to wade through the sewage that surrounds them. Bottom line though, I hate commercials with a passion, so even good shows are spoiled for me.

X-Files was Vancouver produced for the majority of its existance.

Cash, I watch the Daily Show pretty often, I do enjoy it as it's one of the few American shows I've found where it actually brings out big issues and really jabs at them sometimes. I also own the first 2 seasons of Family Guy and very much love them, I also enjoy stuff like Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. But of the amount of programs available that's a very small number. And while that can be attributed to my share of the market per se I've also seen a lot of TV that could not be beneficial to anyone and wonder what exec. allowed it to run. I think it's just hard to get the quality programming to continue when it's just easier to watch stuff blowing up instead of why it's blowing up.

Canada has very little censorship laws. Basically, it all ok if its after 9pm in the stations farthest time zone (And before 5am).

Channels like showcase which are purely Canadian are allowed to do so at any time.

Also, in Ontario, going topfree is legal for women
