1. Age? 16-24

2. Gender? Male

3.Do you prefer to watch movies at the cinema or on television? Television

4.Why? Only if there are no adverts. And I hate any film when they show the news every hour or have a half-our news break in it. But I prefer to watch a film on a TV (as opposed to just 'on TV') than in a cinema if it's for example a DVD, because you don't have to go anywhere, you don't have to queue, you don't have to sit in an uncomfortable seat, you dont have to put up with people's noise, you dont have to pay stupid prices for any food you want during the film, nobody can sit in your way, and you can pause it any time you like.

5. Do you read reviews before going to watch/buy a movie? Yes

6. If Yes where do you read them? Internet

7.Does media advertisment [e.g. ad's on tv, billboards, trailers just before a movie] affect your decision to see a movie? Yes

8.Why? Anybody who claims to be totally unafected by advertising is a liar

9.Do the added features of a DVD [ e.g. making of...., interviews, subtitles] make you want to purchase a DVD rather than a Video? No - DVDs are good because of the quality compared to videos.
Aren't we nice here, not one speech about leaving homework too late... oops! :heee:

2. Gender? Male/Female

3.Do you prefer to watch movies at the cinema or on television? Cinema/Television

4.Why? Convenience...change volume, pause to get food etc. comfort of own sofa with as much legspace as you want!

5. Do you read reviews before going to watch/buy a movie? Yes/No

6. If Yes where do you read them? Newspaper/T.V/Radio/Internet/Other 'Total Film' magazine though the review rarely influences whether I see the movie or not.

7.Does media advertisment [e.g. ad's on tv,billboards, trailers just before a movie] affect your decision to see a movie? Yes/No

8.Why? Because of the whole 'ooh that looks sh*t/great' factor

9.Do the added features of a DVD [ e.g. making of...., interviews, subtitles] make you want to purchase a DVD rather than a Video? Yes/No To an extent none of the features you listed really appeal to me, but 'directors cut', outtakes etc. add to the experience slightly. Usually its just a load of crap though.

1. 16-24

2. Male

3. Cinema

4. Much better atmosphere. My home system has a terrible bass system, and bass is key in most movies for setting various tones.

5. No. I do my own reviews of things and prefer not to let others oppinions cloud my own.

6. N/A

7. Yes, but only slightly. For the most part, it just tells me what's out there. But I have found that most movies use cheap tricks in the teasers to set false tones for the movie, and they generally don't mesh up very well.

8. Oops, see above.

9. Nah. Sometimes they're neat, but often they ruin the "magic" of the movie. It's along the same lines of how once you know how a magic trick is done, it ceases to be interesting. Having the director tell you how he did things, and for deeper movies, what certain things mean really takes a personal element out of the film for me. I like to figgure things out on my own, come to my own conjectures on topics. I realize that the director had something in mind (for most movies, at least), and he/she had a goal in mind, but it makes it much more personal to find your OWN symbolism and relate it to your OWN life, much in the same way different peoples interpret poems and paintings differently.

</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

Hope that helps, sorry if I got a bit long-winded.

If anyone even remotly likes Resident Evil (in a piece of s**t kind of way), don't watch the licker and dogs featurettes.

In the licker part, Anderson is sitting at a computer tweaking the tongue of the licker at the end of the movie; he's all, "YES, now, that looks really real" .... No, Paul. No it doesn't.

They should've made the movie more like the game. Less action more
running-around-in-corridors-searching-for-keys. More elements from the
game. It is a movie based on a game, therefore, they should make the
movie mainly for the game series fans. The movie was quite good though,
even if not as a Resident Evil movie.

Sorry for turning this thread into a RE thread ^_^

Are you f**king kidding me? That would have been even worse! Watching someone run around by themselves trying to find keys and solve puzzles that logically wouldn't even be there would be the s**ttiest movie in existance.

You'd probably like RE: Apocalypse, even though it's godawful, it's so much like the game. But serious, Nemesis should not be in a movie ever ... he's so stupid.

As you perhaps understand I'm a big fan of the Resident Evil series. Of
course I don't want the movies to be EXACTLY like the game, but more
like the game. You may find it strange, but I would have appreciated a
little more key searching and such in the movie and less
running-on-the-wall-kicking-things-in-the-head. The first movie
(haven't seen the second one) wasn't very Resident Evil like, which I
find very sad. They could've made something really good out of it,
something unique.

Well technically they did. His whole idea was that it was happening before the first game. (RE:0 came out the year the movie was released). He just took ideas from the games and adapted them to the screen. The very fact that they were in the hive would make it rediculous for them to look for keys.

To be honest, it's a good adaptation. Most fans of the games love the second movie because of the simularities, but it's just bad ... worse then the first movie, yet still enjoyable overall. It's weird. The movie is a paradox.
