Well it's a step in the right direction, but in addition to to the images being too small/low res there's also the problem of being able to upload them to sites like these: I don't imagine there's an easy way to check that people are uploading panoramas and not films (same file extension) though if someone made a generating tool that can do it from uploaded TGAs...). I think this method is right now better for showing off skyboxes on websites.
But then I would say that... :wink:

Wouldnt mind trying this out to show my maps off on my website. Given
it a try with HL cause not got much time and it loads faster :razz: but it
keeps coming up with "invalid gl_envmapsize value" yet there does not
appear to be a gl_envmapsize cmd :/

It only works for HL2...
Too much work for showing off a map and pictures can hide mistakes :wink:
I think i'll stick with the old way.

Bleh, too much work just for showing-off a map like so many others.
Could be useful if you really have something cool to show-off on your own mapping site though.
