A thread appeared on 69th vlatitude yesterday that appeared odd. We didn't really understand what it meant but Vash's signature explains. Apparently Vash's brother posted the thread. Its sad news and I hope its a sick joke and that it didn't really happen.

Hmm, I can't make up my mind about this after reading through that thread. I think it'll take some time before we know the truth.

i have seen something like this before some kid (13 maybe) couldnt get his mod to work was depressed and faked his death to make everyone feel bad but i still hope this isnt real

That's why I waited to post this till I got more info. I hope its a joke but no one should make any assumptions until we get the truth.

I have not seen vash around for a while. but who would he tell all his passwords to that would update his profile as such? It seems too non-informative to be real. Check the newspapers for the town that he lived in. surely it would be there if it's a smaller town. Since he owns the site: tefp.net his information such as address and real name is available to me. I checked AP news archives for anything containing his name and also checked local newspapers: There is no news of his death in any of them so far.

[edit] of course i also now have his phone number, I could call and say "is vash there" see what happens... not really, just a thought.

just call up and say something like vash has won a free copy of hl2. better not dont wont to bring up more bad memories or anything if its true

Spartan, I would never do anything that insensitive. If there is even a possibility of this being true the last thing a parent needs is to get a phone call asking if thier dead son is there because "I just noticed it said he was dead on the internet and stuff."
BUT whoever posted on tefp.net was sure very quick to post the "fact" on the site. If indeed it was a brother or relative, they weren't grieving too much to have updated it just ONE day after thier brother's death. I know ppl greive in different ways, but posting it on the internet is not really a conventional approach. I mean, there are LOTS of other tihngs to take care of after a death besides letting all his little internet pals know about it.

I think its a prank by his brother... I talked to the bro on MSN last night, he said things like "im glad hes dead", which sounds pretty fake to me.

He's probably away on vacation...and his brother has access to his

relavent results, although using google to check someone's possible
death isn't really reliable. And it's a bit silly, too.

i wasn't trying to be evil to you force, but lets assume this is all true. what difference would it make how his home life is? all you should be concerned with are how you felt about him, and how he effected the pit while he was here. nothing else has any relevance.
i have evil family, if you want to discuss it in another thread, begin one.. i'll gladly talk about how they should die.

one last thing i might interject. the news rarely if ever names minors in a fatality incident. i am not positive, but i think vash was under 18. searching for him in any way, might be fruitless. at least till the funeral, when the obituaries will name him personally.

it will take time, but the obits are your best bet for confirmation.

This is really sad news, and I hope to god it turns out to be a
horrible joke of some sort. If it is true, then I hope the rest of his
family are saddened more by his death than his brothers, but at least
he has a lot of people here who will miss him. I remain sceptical

All the car accident listings I found at Google listed all the fatalities, there weren't any that said anything about other fatalities that they couldn't name.

lets just wait and see. i figure even if its true, the funeral won't be until tomorrow at the earliest.

check the obits then thru next week.

Calm down, it's just a joke (well, at least i hope it is; i nearly got killed by a car myself). I remember someone saying that Vash was killed about a month ago, and it turned out to be a joke. A rather stupid one, might I add.

Ive figured it out...

I think Vash just want's to see who will bad-mouth him so he can REALLY give them hell when he comes back. That or his brother is an arsehole. Maybe he is anyway. This for sure: checked MULTIPLE sources for anything about Vash's real identity and car wrecks. (BTW whoever put his personal info up on this forum is kinda dense, some ppl don't want thier info put out for everyone to see, i was trying to avoid revealing all that stuff.) anyway, in newspapers it would normally say "on such and such a date, Vash, of greenacres, or "vash was killed" I tried using quotes and searching for a lopt of different phrases that would be common to a news article, no results.

but for anyone who wants to continue searching, the newspaper in his hometown is called "the greenacres observer"
