Recently Dreamed

I remember not too long ago I had a dream about my map i'm working on and I could see rooms that were not created yet that had really good ideas...

I woke up and forgot them all except one, so I think about it and then I realise...

That it was a weird random crappy idea so that made me depressed :wink:

I usually dream of the future aka 'Dejaveu'.

I've been dreaming in German and Russian now for about a month. It really f's with me... Make it stop...

I had heard somewhere that you can't read anything while dreaming, but
I distinctly remember being able to read the print on a bottle of
medicine in a dream I had last night.

Not really recent, but I dreamt that I built the Black Mesa Research facility on Mars. You could ride the train and everything :smile:

I'm a big fan of dreams, stuff like this really intrestes me.

I've got some news for you all, as I glanced through this thread I noticed alot of "i dont dream much" etc.

everyone dreams, every night. As we sleep we go from a deep almost coma like sleep into a very light REM (rapid eye movment) sleep. This is when we dream. As the night goes on we switch back and forth from deep (or Non REM sleep) to REM sleep. Its belived that REM sleep is a way for the mind to rest and re-group and dreams are kind of the waste our brain creates, I belive this is why we so quickly forget dreams. so in a normal night you may have 6 cycles from deep to REM sleep, forgetting the first 5 dreams you may of had, or even all of them.

I find that the more you think and learn about dreams and dreaming you will find that you remember dreams more. Once you are able to really controle dreams you can have what are called lucid dreams, dreams where you are in almost total control or your dream and it becomes much much more vivid. There are goggles that I suppose you can buy that will sence when you go into REM sleep and then beam a low red light onto your eyes. You can learn to sense this and then take a more active role in your dream.

I had a dream the other night where I was having wild sex with Elisha Cuthbert. Naturally, it was the best dream ever. I was all smiles the day afterwards for obvious reasons. I didn't even wake up covered in spunk, which was really quite the shocker.

You probably saw some meaningless letter like symbols on the bottle while vocalising what presumably was written on it, right?

Okay, this is getting out of hand. I was dreaming in some foreign language, and when my alarm-clock-radio woke me up, my mind made it sound like the radio was talking that foreign language, and I had to consiously THINK "It's English" before it started to clear up.

I get too much exposure to other languages and not enough exposure to "sleep."

I am so jealous of you, yet I congratulate you for your luck in getting

Once, I dreamed that I was spitting big Lugies at peoples heads from a 2nd story balcony. In reality, I was lying on my back and hocked up a big snotball which I spit straight into the air - of course, it fell back down onto my face and I woke up.

Karma works in funny ways.

I just woke up from dreaming I was in some sort of medieval style TV series.

Okay. It's an old 2d sidescrolling game, where you shoot
something at big blobs. I think it was saladshooter, or
pickleshooter or something.

Anyways, I was in the game and I hit a dead end and then all the blob things cornered me and I woke up.

I dreamed I was dating one of my ex-girlfriends again, and one of her
ex-boyfriends wanted to kick my ass because of it. The
ex-boyfriend was a swim captain from my team that graduated two years
ago, and he's never even met this particular ex-girlfriend, so it was a
strange and tenuous conenction.

I managed to convince him not to kick my ass. And then I don't remember the rest of that particular episode.

Next I'm playing through the RE4 scene early in the game where you're
climbing up all the ladders and exploring the huts on the sides of the
chasm while being chased by knife throwing zombie spaniards.
Strange strange dream seeing as I haven't played or thought about RE4
in a few months.

I had a dream where I made a HL2 map and was bragging to people (not you guys) about it. Pretty weird... good map, though, all foresty with rivers and stuff. Probably from all that offroading I do in San Andreas.

ever had one of those dreams where there's something (like a box), that
just can't open, everytime it's about to open it closes...frustrating.

being able to open that box would be awesome ;o

Apparently it's good practice to try and note down your dreams as soon
as you wake up, especially if you're going through some kind of serious
mental health problem.

Which makes me worried, as my dreams are truly screwed up. But yeah.
There's a few good books I read while I was in Australia, i'll see if I
can dig out the titles for you enthusiasts out there.

What if you only dreamed you jotted them down though?

My luck, it would be one of those stupid dreams where you dream your in the bathroom but warm up nicely for a few minutes... Just before the pee cools off that is. :kitty:
