Putting things in perspective gents. The grand professions of Pirating and Ninja. The Ninja are still around, have been for centuries I think. Pirating is not so common. Its still around perchance but not nearly as glorified.
There is no history until something happens, then there is.

Ninjas havent changed for hundreds of years. Pirates keep up with the latest technology, hence in a confrontation, Pirates will have the advantage.

I don't think we're talking about modern day pirates who wield AK-47s.

I thought we were talking about the swashbuckling rope swinging "Treasure Island" type pirates.

If said pirate happens to be a wizard, he'd clearly win with spells and whatnot. If not, the ninja will just flip out and kill everything, cause that's what they do.
Conclusion, wizard pirate > ninja > pirate. <br style="color: white;">
I came for the great service - but I stay for the extra leg space. ZombieLoffe.

Comeon, no pirate discussion goes without a link to Maddox.

But really, one of my friends was a pirate for Halloween, another a ninja. They fought it out and the pirate won.

At this time I'd like to give kudos to Myrk- for finding me my christmas avatar. woo!

Still, the fact that they can use modern technology shows that they can adapt. A ninja wont use an AK-47, theyll say its not honourable or something, but the fact is theyre unable to use a variety of weapons. A pirate can use any weapon.

Edit: I
finally got around to updating my avatar. It's all Christmasy
now. I did it in MSPaint on my laptop which is currently without

Looks very professional, and not that much more skillful than that guy who traces stuff in the concept art thread

As for pirates vs ninjas, it all depends on the situation, I just felt like stirring up a wierd debate  Ninjas hide away and pirates never find them, but ninjas get pirates in thier sleep, but pirates don't sleep in the night often 'cus they drink, but pirates can sail away! Theres more aspects, but I can't think of them all.

Merry Stalinmas!

Sucks that I couldn't find a good enough colour photo of ol' Joe to
make him Christmassy, but it'll suffice. Ties in with this new fashion
of BLACK christmas trees.

Weird.

Good idea eh? I thought- some people say they get in the way, some love them, so shooting them seemed the best option. I wanted to find a snowball exploding gif or a snark blood explosion, but a real one was good enough. Think of it as artillery fire blasting them away!

Obviously lep coded them, so most of the kudos go to the 5 minutes it took

I've actually been ridiculously spoilt this year, most likely because
my sister is away in New Zealand and therefore isn't really sharing in
the usual festive gifts! Biggest surprise was a new Snowboard - a
lovely 156cm Palmer Factor that looks an awful lot like my old and
much loved Forum DS, and, I believe, should ride somewhat similar too
 Also got a new pair of good snowboarding goggles and a hydration
pack to complete my unexpected snowboarding related Christmas
gifts. I hadn't asked for anything snowboarding related, but
since I'm going away for a week with my Dad in January after missing
out entirely last season, I guess he wanted to make my holiday as
pleasant as possible! The computer stuff I had asked for - the Logitech
G15 keyboard and MX1000 mouse - were also very generously wrapped up
under the tree, as well as "NFS: Most Wanted" for the Xbox and the
"Infernal Affairs" trilogy on DVD. A few other bits and bobs and some
money from relatives rounded out what was a very over-generous
Christmas to be honest! I can't help but feel my less impressive gifts
didn't quite match up - I'm gonna have to work hard to repay such gifts
in kind when I get a job

I got aftershave, a book on s**t (no, really), a photo album for my travel pics and DoD: Source from my bro.

Nothing off anyone else due to massive debts and borrowing to pay for airtickets and general travelling in the past year.

Merry Christmas guys!
