Counter Strike cs_block

Time to release the second map I've done. It was originally done in spring of 2001. but I did some fixes to it. I'm only uploading this so people would see how much I've improved since the days of past.

The map is situated into a slum and it plays quite quickly. There are a number of easter eggs and other weird stuff in there. It was meant to be a fun map for the LANs and it has done it's job quite well on the few occasions. But download it and see it for yourself.

Day Of Defeat (HL) dod_brecourt

This is a map I just started today set around the assault on the Brecourt Manor artillery installation, well known as the focus of the second Band of Brothers episode, Day of Days (map name pending).

Anyone who plays DOD will probably be wondering why I'm doing this map, as just recently a map of the same theme has been circulating. If you have played the map then I needn't explain myself. To be perfectly frank it is a gaudy, poorly constructed, poorly researched, poorly textured monstrosity of a map, doing little credit to Band of Brothers, the actual location or the men who fought there.

Hence my map, which will attempt to 'right' the wrongs, by replicating as accurately as possible not only the Band of Brothers episode, but the actual historical data.

Here are some preliminary screens of the first two guns and the beginning of the installation. The actual installation was located in one long field, but to allow for R's I have divided the field in two. This is still a work in progress, but I am very pleased with how it looks so far.

Sven Co-op (HL) wtf_v2

Its the second version of the first wtf map for svencoop. JJ45 made it, had errors, got bored. therefore i stepped in and started finalising and removing errors. new features are:
+Hamster wheel
+tweaked lift sequence
+new xen plantlights
+nicer house
+new huge swinging axe
+new levels
+much more!

Half-Life: Deathmatch ff_splatter

ff_splatter is my second map. It is an arena-style map with a courtyard surrounded by 3 levels of buildings. All weapons are represented.

Because of r_speeds, I had to keep it a little blocky, but I did my best to at least make the layout as interesting as possible as well as add more interesting architecture away from the middle. In any event, I was going for function over form; it was designed with gameplay & r_speeds in mind and not as something aesthetically beautiful.

Now with Downloady Goodness.

Half-Life: Other... SW_Coldstone

I personally like this map a lot. It has some nice graphics plus good wpoly, that is something sorta hard to find nowadays :)
I went for an "almost-dawn" look, with this cool fog and snow. The map will be featured in the next version of the Snow-War mod.

This was to be my competition entry, but given present time constraints and technical diffaculties, there is no way it will make it into the comp.
The map is set in and around a small castle high on a bleak granite mountaintop, featuring steep cliffs and dramatic water falls.

My first ever, non-noobish serious HLDM map. i know ive just joined, but ive been mapping for over a year and i felt i should upload something so people can see my abilities.

this map is pretty small, and is good for about 2-4 players. its set in an alien-style abandoned temple. yes, i KNOW its dark. people have told me about this already, and my only reply has been "thats because its SUPPOSED to be dark.". if its really causing problems for you, by all means, turn up your monitors brightness settings. the idea behind the dark was to give the map a more claustrophobic feel, rather than having you run around in huge open courtyards, i wanted the player to feel more "shut in". a quick note about the screenshots: the screenshots wee artificially brightened with adobe photoshop.

Please, give feedback on this map and tell me how i could improve on it.

Also a big thanks to Sock, who made the textures used in this map and released them on the Wadfather.

This is the map , i made for the The Wall HLDM Maps Remake Contest.

I picked Lambda_Bunker as the map , i wanted to turn into a real beauty.
The Setting is a lost Spacestation on a far away planet.
The map`s gameplay stayed the same , but i`ve added some innovative stuff. So , i hope i can win the contest :)

Half-Life The G-Man Death (Multiple maps)

A set of maps with the single goal to kill the g-man at all costs.

Having secretly gained access to a train into the generator complex of the Canavaral research facility (Yeah... I'm not much for names), you must work your way first through the old power complex to reach the main lobbies. The G-man is your target, and he must be erradicated at all cost to prevent him from doing more damage. Persue him above anything else, and destroy any loyalists by his side.

This is basically a mini-mod in a way (No customized coding) that I started back in December and am attempting to complete aboot the time Half-Life 2 is released (Although if I can't, I will put it into HL2 and update it to all the new features) so that I become re-accustomed to mapping after a long break. I have only spent 5 of the last 9 months working on it (December-February/June on the first 2 parts, July on third, August on 4th), and am gaining experience to the point that I was able to complete the 3rd part to my liking within 3 weeks (I will let everyone playtest the 3rd once I get the pos to compile... It'll take it a good week to do so on my machine).

August 13: 2 new Screenshots from my current work on the first battle in the 4th level (The earlier level are puzzles and the abandoned complex). The 3rd screenie shows some incomplete texturing on the floor and the upper walls.

August 14: Go to the 69th Vlatitude forum to downloadthe 1st part and the 4th part (Whats done) for a sneek peek and playtest it to see if I've set it up as a mod correctly and included all the files.

August 19: Lots of new screenies on the board for this map. Look at them immediately! :D
