This was done for DrGlass' Mosaic project, and it's in no way playable by itself. I chose the smallest and easiest area to recreate an abandoned indoor pool.

The zip file includes both the .bsp and .vmf file.

This single-player minmod is my first attempt at a HL1SP. There are a bunch of secrets....soo...whoppde frickn do.

There are a lot of gameplay bugs in this but oh well. If I ever polish this up for HL2 (unlikely) or HL:S (even more unlikely since I don't have it) then those would be fixed. If you get stuck, PM me and I will show you what to do, you idiot.

Funny looking back at a map you made some time ago and realizing how many things could be improved.

Screenshots are outdated...soo...to see actual in game screenshots then play it.

Also....the game plays better in WON...well..not really...but I took a lot of time to make menus and such for WON that don't show up in Steam, as the menus arent the same. Game runs fine in WON and Steam. Enjoy

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch dm_tower_arena_v2

i never posted it on snarkpit, but some of you may remember dm_tower_arena from a loonng time ago...

i may have mentioned that it wasnt finished and i was gonna get around to completing it... har har har

well now, one year from its release (within like a week actually... wierd coincidence, i only just noticed) i present to you dm_tower_arena_v2.

I found it the other day when I was looking thru my old project archives for a scripted sequence i wanted to cannibalize for a more current project. As soon as I saw it I realised I was gonna have to finish it, even tho I don't play hl2dm that much anymore.

The one thing that bothered me the most about the original was the atmosphere... it looked cool but it was way too tranquil. As you can see I've remedied that. The map is now smack in the middle of a thunderstorm that sounds as pleasant as it looks.

Some gameplay changes too - a couple more platforms... some item rearrangements... and now the map actually has slams... the suspended rocket-whore platform is now see-thru and you can shoot thru it, so going up there for the rocket launcher is more risky.

As this is more of a closure release than anything else, I haven't playtested it much, but there shouldnt be any issues as the mods i made are simply from my todo list from the original version.

oh well... enjoy :-)

PS: frankly I don't think the screens do the atmosphere justice. (yes im more proud of the storm than the rest of the map)

A curvy L shaped Arena with Sniper Towers at the intersection with the only entry through a central pool.

  • Added Central Sniper Towers (Accessible by Pool.<LI>Adjusted various Textures/Weapon Placement.<LI>Set all Exploding Barrels to 60sec respawn.<LI>Added Exploding Barrels to pool.

  • Added a quick 3D Skybox.<LI>Added a mini pillbox to each base.
Added Map for Download on Fateback and Rapidshare. Fateback is instant D/loads but due to a upload restriction, each alpha is split into 200k RAR parts. (Alpha2 is 4 parts. Alpha3 is 6)

  • Add Player_Clips in various places.<LI>Alter Geometry to make use of Smoothing Groups.<LI>Enhance 3D Skybox<LI>Optimise all ground to a single Displacement.<LI>Improve global Texturing/Lighting.
