Of the pictures that loaded successfully, they look gorgeous. Many of the images did not load for me.
That's the benefit of living on the East Coast. It's green and there are actually seasonal changes.

Actually, Satch, it's just California. Oregon and Washington get plenty of different seasonal effects  With plenty of greenary.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Yeah I dont know why the Bermuda and Mt. Abe photos are busted. Hopefully they'll sort themselves out.
I really like the picture of your road Nickelplate, but I wish it was a
little more focused. Right now for its resolution it seems too
blurry for my eyes to focus painlessly.

Nickeplate, that definitely looks better. The blurring and
softness is subtle now, and it looks like an old photograph, not
something thats been photo edited.

I absolutely love Central Park. I have this favorite memory of
playing frisbee in the rain on one of the fields (sheep something) and
it was just me and my friend. Everyone else was hiding from the
rain. We were running around in a grass patch in the middle of
this tremendous city.
It was a feeling akin to the openning scene in Vanilla Sky, but less creepy.

BlisTer, the first two pics look like scenes from Half-Life 2.
They're pretty cool pictures though.

I would have put this in the art thread... ...in an atempt to revive it.
It may not be art as such, but from what I've seen there are alot of amatuer photographers here like myself.

I would have posted this there, but very few people visit the Art board.

About a year before I bought my digital camera I had two events that I would have given anything to have been able to photograph.
1) When that piece of Russian space junk came down over the eastern seaboard I was lucky enough to have witnessed its re-entry over Washington D.C. It was the second most amazing thing I had ever witnessed in the sky.
2) About a year before that, I had the distinct pleasure of witnessing a cloud formation. It was at sunrise and the only clouds in the whole sky comprised this. It was a fully represented image of a Phoenix flying into the sun. I would have given my arm to have captured it in some way.
Sadly, nothing has happened since I got my camera, but I keep it with me just in case.
There is no history until something happens, then there is.

That rusty fishing trawler looks straigh outta HL2 man.
The last shot is my favorite. The industrial stuff on the shore is quite ominous.

I'm not exactly sure of the details but the machinery in the background
is used to load iron ore onto ships in these massive containers. It's
great to see the stuff in action.
I wish I was allowed onto the trawlers. Next time, I'm going to break in with a crowbar... A golden crowbar... yeah...

Okay, maybe not yours, but certainly they're far superior than mine.

He must have an awesome camera... some of those photos were taken in
very quick succession (I'm thinking about the Culver City Baseball
photos).
