no not squeezing. you twist your wrist to keep the inner wheel
rotating, hence creating a gyroscopic effect. As you maybe have seen in
mechanics, this creates a force, excerted on your hand/wrist in this
case.

Yeah, you do like that to make the ball spin fast (it feels good tho).
You can strengthen many parts of your arm with this, it really helps
you know. When spinning 15000 rpm, (250 Hz - think about it, first
computers were that fast and to think that today you can power such
computers with your own hands :biggrin: ), a force equal with 18 kilograms is
pressing onto your wrists. My case weights about 18 kilos stock so I
know the feeling already. There is only 1 man iirc, who is able to spin
more than 15000 and he's from a greece and you can tell he's strong...
let's just say you wouldn't want to shake with him :biggrin:

I built a sholder mounted potato rpg once, same thing happend to me, I
was looking down an empty barrel and was testing the piezo with some

After that incedent i made a more stable sparker, Used a disposable
camera with flash, rerouted the flash to a sparky thingy in the
chamber... Wholla 250V charge arc every time, big blue fcuk*r.

I do a lot of programming, web design sort of stuff, and some BASIC, music, i'm in several bands, and, well... that's about it, besides school.

Paintball this Saturday. I haven't played it for a few years now, but I still remember how much fun I had the last time I battled.

I had an incredibly sore back afterward though. Crouching in real life is a lot harder than pressing a key on the keyboard. And getting shot at is somewhat more punishing that watching your health meter diminish on the screen.

Yeah I don't make combustion cannnons for those reasons. I make pneumatic ones. So far I have a ball valve one (max I've shot at is 130 psi) and am making a diaphragm cannon now. Paintball I reckon cost to much, you can make the same power pneumatic cannonns for $50 if your good at pvc construction.

Pneumatic potato cannons used air pressure to lauch potatoes and are stronger, safer and more reliable than combustion cannons which use hairspray (or another combustible spray) ignited with a bbq igniter to propel potatoes. On the other hand, combustion cannons are faster to set up and use than pneumatic cannons and are far less complicated to build. Some people also say that you can shoot many times in a row with a pneumatic and have to wait a little while between shots with combustion cannons because the chamber heats up, although if you do build a pneumatic DO wait in between shots for a minute or so because the rapid decompression in the chamber of the pneumatic cannons cools down the chamber very fast, making it so cold it may shatter if fired to much.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, NEVER EVER EVER LOOK DOWN THE BARREL OF HOMEMADE WEAPONS!

People have built hybrid cannons between combustion cannons and pneumatic ones that break the speed of sound :eek: . They do this by compresing air then injecting fuel, so lets say 1:10 for fuel:air ratio, the would put in 4 times the amount of air, allowing for four times the amount of fuel.

well, if you do go with the combustion style cannons, made out of pvc, always remember that acetylene makes a bad fuel. One of my friends has some cousins that got drunk and tried that once... it wasn't pretty. Then you need a new gun, too.

Heh, paintball is fun but lasergaming is more action. I like both at
it's time, paintgunning for it's realism and tactics, lasergame for the
pure run'n'gun, or run'n'fun.

WORK.. I recently got hired as a DOD or DA Police officer..

DOD = Department of Defence

DA = Department of the Army

Basicly im a civilian Military Police Officer...

when I am home I like to map, or make SIG's, or play with my kids, etc.. but I also belong on a Bowling team, and like to play On-line games when I have a chance.

MY aunt works for DOD. Not DoD:S lol.

You know we're dorks for thinking that when we see DOD, and not Department of Defense. lol..

I guess I am a DOD:S = department of defense security.. lol

I like laser because it is cheaper and in paintball the mask I got made it too hot (here in Australia today it was 38 degrees celcius where I live) and my gun jammed and the guns didnt have scopes unlike laser. Plus the laser battlefield are usually way bigger and cooler. Go to http://www.laserskirmish.com/ to check your closest place. Using the Morita sniper + scope to shoot people hundreds of feet away is fun :smile: .

EDIT: By the way, I checked out that paintball link. Paintball is much cheaper in America (and yes I did convert the currencies) than my area's one.
