This thread really needs no explanation. For those of you who ever wanted to keep a dream log, keep it here.

I don't often remember my dreams, but last night I specifically
remember walking around an imaginary CS map with its creator. I
remember telling him how to improve the layout. I remember saying
that I liked the way he handled the foliage and props, but that I
didn't like the boring wall surrounding his level...

Dreams. My dreams would frighten most here so posting them is not a really good idea. At least not from me.
I would like to read others though. This could be a cool thread, unless its filled with a bunch of prepubescent posts.
There is no history until something happens, then there is.

Sadly, I don't remember what I dream (maybe it's for the best?) apart
from when I have lucid dreams. I really love those. Imagine being able
to dream whatever you wish and, implicitly, be able to realistically
simulate various sensations. I'm also working on self-iducing such dreams via a sort of auto-hypnosis.
Anyone else here having lucid dreams on a regular basis?

The only dream I remember to mind is this one from ages ago.
I dreamt that I was a knight, and guarding a wierd city at the foot of some mountains (North side of mountains) with a large plain of bog and marshlands North. Then in the horizon this wall of wooden machine things was coming, and we went to battle them off but everyone got killed except me. I ran into the forests to the East with enemies following, but I killed the ones following me. Then I hid in the forest for 3 years around the wrecage of a Boing 747 (wierd eh?). Anyways I went back, killed the enemy leader and then saved the day, but all the village was destroyed and everyone was dead. Wierd dream.
Interesting fact- when you dream, you do so in fast forward. When your dosile/asleep your brain can do more thinking rather than seeing and stuff, so your thinking is fast. Also its because in dreams you miss out key details, almost like a game in that you don't model every single item and wall detail.

Ive had bizzare dreams, two of which were using HL graphics, and Hl
enimies and things, they have given me some inspiration, that and ive
had a couple of REALLY strange encounters with dreams, one being half
awake, around my house, Not being able to pull myself out of feeling
asleep. the dream i had continued partially in reality, with my half my
head dreaming, the other half going "what the hell that isnt real.. nor
is that..." I tried eating during the period because i had gone to
sleep after a 3 day bus trip which i couldnt sleep at all on. I tried
eating the pasty, it was quite... urgh... Really weird eating in that
state of mind. i cant say i want it to happen again. all the usual
things of waking up didnt work, head under cold tap, slapping yourself,
falling over, everything. still couldnt shake the thought of there
being a volcanoe outside from my head, even when i looked out the
window. I cant say i ever want it to happen again. oh that and the
dream about vomit... Urgh.. that was the worst nightmare ever...

The most scary dream i ever had was i was walking to my room and i fell
over. I tryed to get up but i couldn't, i was glued to the floor. The
floor suddenly split open and i fell into a black hole. When i came out
there was a man in a white suit staring at me. He talked to me and then
for some reason pushed me and i fell down some steps and woke up. The
terifing bit was when i realised i was on the floor.

Perfect timing for this thread.
I had a disturbing dream last night. There were these three geeky
but tall guys who came into our apartment. They said they needed
to check our appliances for problems, so they started packing them into
their truck.
It's obvious to anyone that they're taking them and don't intend to
ever return them. So I tried to stop them. The tall leader
guy threatened me with a sharp scissors, so I dialed 911.
And if anyone in the States had tried dialing the police before, you'll
know that there is usually a ten minute hold before you speak to
anyone. So while I was on hold with the police, these guys are
emptying out our apartrment.
Eventually, I got fed up and retrieved two long and sharp knives from
the kitchen. I threatened the tall guy with it, he just ignored
me. So I dug into his left forearm with a butcher knife and just
started sawing. It was pretty gruesome.

Sounds truely fantastic, not...
I haven't had any dreams for quite some time now, but if I could choose my dream I'd kill 50 Cent for being a crap musician (if you want to call him that) and being so arogant that he had a game made about him being shot and not dying.
On the note of choosing, apparantly theres a way of harnessing the power of dreams to achieve anything you desire- including bedding women of your dreams in your sleep- or so an article I read claimed. It all lay in realising your dreaming, and realising that you can control the outcome.

Myrk-, Andrei was talking about that very thing, it's called lucid dreaming.
I can't do it on a regular basis, but I can do it occasionally. I
don't have the moment where I realize I'm dreaming, but I do wish for
things (while dreaming) and they come true.
I had a friend who could lucid dream every night. Needless to say, he slept all the time
And UD, I'm familiar with the idea that a boy's first time is
short. I wasn't trying to be rude, it's just the phrase "first
piece of ass" just struck me as odd.
And, I don't want you to have to revisit/remember bad experiences, but
if you hint at them you can expect people to ask about it.

The key to lucid dreaming is to regularly ask yourself "Am I dreaming?"
before falling asleep. It sounds stupid, but it sometimes works. It's
kinda like hypnotising yourself to verify every now and then whether
you are awake or not.
[edit]
I once dreamt I was a soldier during World War I. I was stuck in the
trenches and was afraid to come out. When I finally convinced myself to
do so, I grabbed my rifle [which looked suspiciously like a Mauser
kar98k (wwII
german rifle)] and prepared to make some poor fool's day. I pull the
bolt, take aim and
discover that the weapon was deforming slowly in my hands, as if it
were
made out of soft rubber, before "liquefying" between my fingers. At
this point I was overwhelmed by a horrible sensation of
defenselessness. Moments later I "felt" pain ("felt" because I wasn't
actually feeling the pain, rather the brain was informing me that I was
supposed to feel it) in my stomach and I knew it was the end of me. Think it was shrapnel from a mortar shell.
I remember dying in other dreams aswell. I once got stabbed in the stomach with a sword (again, in the stomache).

Yeah, pain and death are very strange things in dreams. While
dreaming I'm still very afraid of pain, although I don't know why,
since obviously it's not a physical sensation in my dreams. So
obviously its the memory of pain that your mind is drawing on, but have
you ever tried to remember pain while awake? When you're
experiencing real pain, all you can think about is making it stop, but
the second it's gone it's hard to remember exactly what you were
feeling. Quite the quandary.
Anyway -- there's one nightmare that I had when I was about 11 or 12
that I still remember quite vividly. It sounds absolutely stupid,
hokey, and not very scary... but I woke up terrified.
In this dream, I'm looking at myself from above, like a top down
perspective. I'm sitting on a checkered marble floor, playing
with some toys, and my mother is in the corner in a rocking chair
watching me. The top down view of the checkered floor makes it
seem like I'm on a chess board. Anyway -- out of nowhere, an
arrow is shot. It's heading right at me, and going very
slowly. I'm watching, but I can't intevene. My mom doesn't
seem to notice. The arrow hits me in the head, and I fall down
dead. That's when I woke up. I heard somewhere you're not
supposed to ever die in dreams, but I did... and I was terrified when I
woke up. I was sweating and afraid to fall asleep.
It seems silly now, and I have no idea what it means, but I was really
scared at the time. I haven't had a nightmare that I remember in
years.

I once had a dream years ago in which I killed several people and woke up with my hands covered in blood. It was scary until I noticed a bite mark on my wrist. Obviously a spider or something bit me and I bled all over the place.
That was the weirdest thing that has ever happened to me.

Years ago in the night dream:
I was walking along a white corridor. Then I saw some people loudly
talking and I don't know why, but I said to them: "Be quiet. You will
wake me up.". Next I went taking some turnings and I got very dark room
with little red light. Then I saw a monster who told me he will kill
me. I killed him with axe (I don't know, how this appeared in my hand).

I remember a dream or... actually i was awake and i was JUST about to fall asleep and then a kind of black whirling hole in the ceiling and a black skinny hand came out, i knew it was a with hand, i don't know why... I also think i heard the with laugh at me too. Anyways, it pulled me into the hole and then i came into some kind of "warp-speed" tunnel, teleporting tunnel, whatever you want to call it, i think you know what i mean.
I flied through it and the walls were like living pictures that showed things i remembered from my life or just something i had seen in the tv etc...
I ended up flying into one of the windows which became a nightmare i think. This dream was from my childhood.
AND also something REALLY weird.
I was dreaming i was a baby and we were driving home and parked in our "garage" (Really not a garage, but a parking lot with a plastic roof  ).
My mom and dad (I don't remember if anyone else was there) went into the house, and they had forgotten me in the car. I then crawled a little around and saw the hand brake (OH GOD NO!) and then i pulled it  .
The car then rolled out of our "garage" and ended bumping into something which i thought was a house-wall but i found out it was the kerbstone (spelled?). Then my mom and dad come and got me out and stuff.
The funny thing are that the day after i asked my mom and dad if they knew something about it, since it was so real, and they did! Funny that you can remember things from the time you were baby...
I also had a dream that i (as usual) went into my children nurses house (Whatever it is named) and went into the dinner-room and then i saw her cat and went to pet it. then it cut my face up, and i woke up. Fortunately, it wasn't something that had happened before.

Somehow, I was transformed into a fish-person last night. I
wasn't a mermaid, but I was able to breath under water. I had to
find this little kid somewhere in the bottom of the lake. Perhaps
it's triggered by the latest "Harry Potter" movie.
Then, I was with my wife (no longer fish anymore). We're trying
to get brunch at this small cafe. They were remodeling the store,
and there's dust and construction equipment all over the store.
My wife sat down at a table, but my chair has water on it. So I
was waiting for the waiter to clean it up. However, the waiter
was chatting with one of the construction workers, and he didn't really
care about our orders or my chair. It's quite frustrating.
Then I woke up.

I had one of those go to school and forget your clothes dreams not too long ago, although I don't go to school anymore, and I always remembered my clothes when I did. But the funny thing was that normally it's supposed to be one of those typical everyone laughs at you and you feel shamed kind of dreams but mine was just sort of "shmeh". I just went about my business and chatted with people and the like and it was not a big deal. Must be my own personal twist on that dream since I'm a respecting but not shame feeling kind of person.

So I'm eating this green apple on a popcicle stick, and as I take a bite, the apple screams. I turn it around to discover the face of Charlton Heston on the other side, and he says, "Damn you all to hell." in a low monotone voice.

Alright this is weird. In my dream, I was freaking out about a
parking ticket I had mysteriously gotten, when all of a sudden a friend
starts delivering puppies from this pregnant golden retriever.
Except the puppies are sodas and he's passing them around to all of
us. I remember him saying that the last soda had a yellow top so
that we'd know when the dog was empty....
How weird is that.
