Poo. Someone who had previously rated me a 4 dropped me down to a 1 and now my snarkmarks are no longer devilish.

I have not followed the comic book scene since the eruption of the Marvel Universe in the "Inferno"
But, I seem to recall that many characters went to black costumes..
Course, my knowledge is 20-25 years ago.
I have many classic X-Men in sleeves.

Is his suit really black or is it just an artistic photo of regular Spidey?

I just found out that 2 people rated me quite recently. Do you have any idea how hard it is to drop 2/10ths of a point, with only two votes over a 92 people spread?
Someone sure was pissy.

Sometimes I wish we could see who rated us what. It seems almost cowardly sometimes when people dish out low ratings.
Orph, despite our heated debates across two threads, I wasn't one of those two people

Hmmm. You've only been here just over a year. I'd have thought that long enough to know by now, that were have not had a heated conversation as of yet.
You must live, in a very sheltered world.
and, yeah its cowardly, but... Most wouldn't participate without a guarantee of anonymity.
/methinks.. It had something to do, with a certain rosy reception.

Who cares what you are rated. Anyone can rate you 5 or 1 and then
drop off the face of the earth the next day. Does that really
make any diffrence to you?
Not to say a high rateing doesn't feel good, but why trouble yourself with it.

Just found out yesterday. Physical ram will not increase frame rate scores in a video bench test.
I always assumed it would. Perhaps, my simple test is inconclusive but my score remained unaltered between my 512 ram testing and my 1.5 gig testing.
I have however noticed a significant increase in the machines overall performance. Levels load faster in all the games I have loaded on this PC.
In the end, if you think you will get a video boost for HL2 with more ram, forget it.
Oh and Doc Glass, I do not mind people disliking me, I just prefer them to do so for valid reasons, not reasons exclusive to their own misconceptions. You see, it takes a long time to earn a 5. It should take equally as long to earn a 1. Sadly, its not how its done though.

I just found out recently that apparently there are sequels in production for Indiana Jones, Die Hard, Rocky and Rambo. Why don't they leave the classics alone?

Taking that no video information (in playable games) should be kept physical ram. I mean, you do define a spill over (aperture), but if that happens, the game would be running slow anyway. Adding more ram would only increase CPU intensive operations (this, obviously doesn't include video rendering), it might only increase FPS if having more ram stopped the system from using a lot of Page-file, which might free up the system bus more which could make it so the VGA bus gets a faster response ... but, that only really happens when you're playing stuff that your computer really can't run well.
Just some insight, I guess.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

So, I've been sick for the last few days and tonight, I was sleeping, rather early, I wake up about three hours later (11 pm) and everyone is asleep in my house. I go downstairs because I'm coughing like crazy.
I look at our patio and think "that's weird, it looks like the light is still on" ... open the curtains ... BAM ... snow everywhere. In Metro Oregon area ... during March. What kind of joke is this?
Now, it's snowing harder than it has in like three years. Crazy weather.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Recently "Seen"
On my last run, I saw this personalized license plate. I thought it the single most original one I have ever read.
"CRYS X"
Without posting it, see how long it takes for you to get it. Took me about 2 seconds. My wife and son took markedly longer and I had to give the clues.
Use the
Tags if you really must post.
Anyway, I loved it for its originality.

I am unsure about Reno's, as the original use is much more popular.
I have two possible answers:
Crys ten.. the roman numeral. a girls name Cristen
Crys tian.. As in the religious.

I noticed today (prolly late as hell too) that Lep added at least two more Snarkmark titles to earn.
For the longest time the top level was.. "(spinkee HD pack snark)" Everyone at the top had this title.
Recently I moved up to a new position. "(missing HL2 snark)"
Now the top title is "(mystical HL3 snark?)"
Just a bit of trivia there I guess for those who might care. Which.. I do.
