I doubt that FPS' will ever get any popular with women. But a surprising amount of girls seems to play WoW nowadays. Everyone seems to play that, even my teacher admitted the other day (he's male but still far away from usual gaming target groups). Wouldn't mind if games loose their nerd image, especially in Europe.

Recently found out that "friends with benefits" is just another name for "f**k buddies".
I seriously did not know this. I just thought it meant they were really good friends after two people break up.
God I swear I'm such an idiot sometimes.

I got the fourth and fifth books in the Foundation series by Asimov. If you're curious the Foundation trilogy I bought before was and is a single physical book. It just has the first three "books". Anyway, $5 for all 5 books doesn't bother me much.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

I had a really long page about the events leading up to my marriage of 24 years.
This f**king godammed site erased it AS I WAS COPY/PASTING IT!!!!!!
cries
to make a long story short, my wife and I had lifes that overlapped for over 2 years before we actually met. It was weird to compare notes about events that happened 20 years before...

Hit back. Or does your browser not cache things as you write them? :razz:
I didn't know how many books were in the series, but these were the only ones there. I guess I'll keep a look out for the last two.

I know there was a working train that worked that way in Japan. Since, that was the only country that would allow the train to go that fast. Maybe it was a prototype at the time. But I remember seeing the working thing. This was in like ... '97 or so.

Target is selling Half-Life 2: Episode One for $14.99 (at least the Target next to my house is)
I'd buy it, but I've been burned by retail HL before.

I don't know, but my point is that the idea of using the magnets to float it so it doesn't create friction is quite old and has been in use for a long time.
I know that they're doing new research in Japan to increase their speed to something ludicrous, but the trains have been around for awhile.

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best,
I've been gone for a month, I've been drunk since I left;
These so-called vacations will soon be my death,
I'm so sick from the drink, I need home for a rest.
We arrived in December and London was cold,
So we stayed in the bars along Charing Cross Road;
We never saw nothin' but brass taps and oak,
Kept the shine on the bar with the sleeves of our coats.
You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best,
I've been gone for a month, I've been drunk since I left;
These so-called vacations will soon be my death,
I'm so sick from the drink, I need home for a rest.
Euston Station, the train journey north,
In the buffet car we lurched back and forth;
Past odd crooked dykes through Yorkshire's green fields,
We were flung into dance as the train jigged and reeled.
You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best,
I've been gone for a month, I've been drunk since I left;
These so-called vacations will soon be my death,
I'm so sick from the drink, I need home for a rest.
By the light of the moon she'd drift through the streets,
A rare old perfume so seductive and sweet;
She'd tease us and flirt as the pubs all closed down,
Then walk us on home and deny us a round.
You'll have to excuse me, I'm not at my best,
I've been gone for a month, I've been drunk since I left;
These so-called vacations will soon be my death,
I'm so sick from the drink, I need home for a rest.
The gas heater's empty, it's damp as a tomb,
And the spirits we drank like a ghost in the room;
I'm knackered again, come on, please take me soon,
And don't lift up my head till the twelve bells at noon.
....ahahah :smile:

I was a bit miffed about the racist part too. It almost caused me to not post this.
I didn't want anyone to feel that I was accusing them of racism.. I liked the book definitions though so opted that no one would be upset if the topic were to arise as a racial slur.
Actually, I read racists somewhere.. Perhaps thats to strong a word.
Everyone is not racist, but everyone is prejudiced in some way so thats not so bad a definition.

I'd be quite skeptical of that; but that name does sound familiar...
As for me, I just recenly found a copy of the Original Resident Evil game (not the director's cut). Cost: 10 bucks.

my guess is that rather than come straight out and say, "wtf, you thought we were joking about Chinese censorship, wake up, noob!!!", Gwil tried in his drunken haze to be nice about it.

I was amazed that someone was surprised to see China censoring websites.
Sorry reaper47 :razz: I don't usually pounce on people like that. Honest.

lol, Gwil no need to be sorry. I wasn't really surprised, but it's the first time I heared Wikipedia is closed in China, too. I knew of the google cencorship for "certain things" but never heared about Wikipedia. The whole Wikipedia.
Also I thought of all the software piracy in China. It seems like it's a hardly persecuted because it's just the capitalist's law anyways (my personal interpretation of the obvious). Now there is a site which is completely free, created by the communal spirit of its users and China cencors it because they're afraid people could see how China f**ked up in many ways and they block it. A bit ironic but not fully thought through from my side.

I recently found out that I don't want to be a chef after all....
I'm going to look into audio/visual jobs in the media instead.
