I wasn't very impressed by the pics of modularity, but it just goes to show that you can't base everything about a map from pics. After i walked around in it, i began to really like it. Lots of brush detail, a mover, and great composition. The plain orange behind the panels was great. The style is cool, and the walls are very curvey and varried. You really need to make a full map out of that, Blister.
i was thinking of expanding it into a FF map as the basis of a flagroom, but i'm plagued with an error that makes vrad crash during FinalLightFace whenever i try to add complexity (even simple block brushes). (i actually made modularity more complex than this version, but had to cut back because of this error). i tried googling and trying out solutions, but nothing worked. i know CJ had this error at some point, so if you know how to solve it CJ, shoot.

As for the competition

I think i speak for everyone if i applaud Orpheus for putting his shoulders under this contest and guiding/promoting it in the best way possible, which isn't obvious in a community that has less and less interest / enthusiasm for mapping (13 HL2 votes). Without him, there simply wouldn't be a finished contest. Good call to call for non-snarkpitters too, otherwise i would've been very lonely for HL2.

I still have question marks at the statistical significance, but i won't make a fuss over it, i'm just happy the contest in itself went well. Still, with a +- equal amount of voters vs candidates, i fear this might be the last snarkpit contest.

Bravo also to the candidates. 90% of the entries was very high standard, which made for an exciting contest. Bravo to Dewdle for taking that 4th vote and thus the win.

Finally, thx to the voters for taking the time to have a quick look at our maps, and thx to everyone who made comments along the way.
