Now, men are scared about the sizes of their penises. In the future, it'll be how much processing power you have.
That said, what are your PC's specs? I got myself an AMD Athlon XP 2200+ @ 1.8Ghz, crapy ECS K7VMM+ motherboard, 512MB PC2100 DDR RAM, Sapphire ATi Radeon 9600 w/ 256MB VRAM, 40GB HDD (not sure on RPM). Soon I'll be purchasing a wonderful AMD Athlon 64 3000+ and an Asus K8N, so I can clock it up to just under 3Ghz! Nice!

msi k7n2delta 2
1.5gb ddr (333mhz)
msi fx5700le (default core speed 250 default mem 400) (but running at 450 core and 533 mem) (18k aqua marks on default settings 25k on overclocked (aquamark 3))
plenty of hdd space

i also modified the 5700 with heat sinks over the ram so it doesnt heat up as much.

17" CRT monitor... can't see myself going to TFT for at least a couple of years.
*It's only running at 3.1 because of stupid prime95  If I put it higher, everything is fine, except prime95 gets a rounding error after only around 5 minutes...
**Think I should get another 512 before DDR2 properly takes over, and DDR prices start to rise.
***I have totally run out of space, so probably going to replace the 60 with maybe a 250 or 300 if they come down in price, or more likely a 200, since they are cheap already.
Also I would quite like one of those new logitech 'laser' wireless mice, but I'm not sure if I can justify ?45 on a mouse

There's nothing I really "need" to upgrade. Also everything I want to upgrade, especially GFXcard and Monitor. Maybe need to buy a DVD drive.

Laptop:

ATI Mobility Radeon 7x00. Not sure exactly.
And there's also an NEC Ultralite laptop, of which I strongly suspect the processor is missing :/ Doesnt have a HDD. Used to boot directly from a 3 1/2" floppy. UBAR.

heh, dont need to worry about it now - im slightly rich as of yesterday
 i could probably have afforded a new PC, but earning a wage has also
had a direct correlation with being at taxable age, and discovering the
beauty of women, beer, pot.. you know - the usual
edit: as for the point about doing charity things, i've actually given
some of my rejected parts (can't quite fathom how i've had any with
the age of this machine) to a scheme which they run in Derby (my home
city) - to export PC's to India and the schools over there

people do give me stuff (actually i still end up buying most of it) but mostly its pre 1997 stuff..
the largest pc so far is a 233.. at least till tracers 300 arrives.. yeah tracer
