Argh! Friends! Why don't you watch some classy television, like Late Night With Conan O'Brien!?! He's got a DVD too, you know. Oh well, if you like Friends, I won't make fun of you for it... too much, anyway. :/

Some american talk show kinda dude.

Also, for buying Friends on any format - I sentence you to death by firing squad, for crimes against good taste.

next time buy some arthouse films and gangster flicks. or fear and loathing in las vegas  much wiser investments!

The king of corny late night!
I guess in five years he's taking over the Tonight Show ... so hopefully that show will be good after that point.

Letting him off easy, don't you think?
... or fear and loathing in las vegas ...
Mmm, good movie.
I guess when Depp was "researching" for his role. He went and lived with the guy for like a month. He made Depp sleep in the basement on a mat. Depp said he was one crazy mother f**ker.

They're both canceled. I'm not sure about "Mr. Show", but "Kids in the Hall" is Canadian (minus Lourne Michaels).

Family Guy would beat them all
into submission, except everyone and their dog keeps quoting it every
single waking minute. What I really want are the Strangers with Candy
DVD's - quite possibly one of the funniest shows ever concieved. Ever.

While 'Kids In The Hall' is being mentioned...I used to watch a similar show called 'The Vacant Lot' on Paramount Comedy. Anyone know if that's available on DVD or coming to DVD?

edit: Oh yeah...and why would you need to buy 'Friends' on DVD? It's on the telly every 2 minutes on E4 and Channel 4. Talk about overkill

I can't say I hate 'Friends' really...just i'm fed up of it being on all the time - kinda loses its appeal after so many repeats.

This post is assuming one knows about American TV shows
Im sorry I cannot sit down and watch Friends, Its too illogical. I mean you cannot keep those nice New York appartments on a waiter's wage, and yes I know there is a chef who makes more money than a waiter, but still you cant hold an appartment like that.

And dont get me started on those WB shows (smallville, gilmore girls, Dawsons creek, one tree hill)

Besides there are much better sitcoms out there like Seinfeld (the finale had 3 times more viewers than friends finale), Simpsons (and it still running because it was so great), Mash (had ten times more viewers on its finale than friends finale did). Plus you can find better stuff on comedy central  .

But if you like friends then more power to ya, its just you are easily ammused by their simple jokes.

It's not intended to be logical, it's purely for entertainment. If
that's the best example of something illogical in Friends you can pick
then god help you. I don't watch Friends, but occasionally I'll see a
few minutes of an episode. It's no simpsons, but it's mildly enjoyable.

I feel the same way about Friends as Reno. Sure, if there's nothing
else, I'll watch it. But definately not going out of my way to make
sure I see it.

I'd have to agree with the change you made to my post but I still love to watch the Simpsons and a few other shows once in a while. Other than that everything else on T.V. is crap. Especially those reality shows that are just a front for turning America into a nation of zombies to be used against Burma in WWIII.

I wish they'd release the Tick on DVD. Not the live actions pile of dog s**t. The old Fox cartoon. Man, I loved that show. The comic is pretty funny too, aparently (as a friend of mine told me).

Nope it isnt wierd. I find that the mom is way hotter also, and its only gold if your there to get your fill of the mom, thats about it. I mean lets be realistic, who watches it for their "acting" tallent.

I find the Asians in that show to be hilarious. The Asian mother was
one of the first reasons I started watching. Really great acting on
their part (assuming it is acting!) But yeah, I also find Lauren Graham to be hotter than that... Other person. See? We don't even know her name.

Mr. Show is a sketch comedy show featuring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. It included people like Janeane Garofalo and Jack Black in the supporting cast and was some really smart, edgy comedy with roots in long-form improv. TBS is currently airing it with only slight editing at something like 2:45 late friday / saturday morning.
