I graduated last spring with a bachelors in Chemistry, and a minor in Physics. Mostly Chemists don't worry overly much about quantum mechanics (not baccalaureates anyway), but I did allot of scanning tunneling microscopy for my senior research project, so I got to learn quite a bit about it. As for thermo, it was one of my favorite classes. I think the Second Law is about the best Bulls**t-O-Meter anyone could ever hope for.

Some people here don't speak English, so they're excused. Everyone here is human, so some mistakes are still acceptable. The only other excuse for complete lack of spelling and grammer is mental disability. If you refuse to speak properly, we will assume you are mentally disabled and treat you accordingly.

Not all disabilities cause bad spelling... Just about every one of my
friends has at least one , but they can sure spell adequatly. I had a
teacher who couldn't spell anything longer than 6 letters, but he has
been one of the most inspirational and hard working teachers ive ever
had , Very intelligent just "couldnt spell to save his life". Thru
,u and all those other shortenings are caused by the person who
has typed them. A disabled person might type yoo or yu as equally as u.
Disabilties are only an excuse if you mispell the word in a way that
its not typical internet shortenings = P.

I'm not aware of many disabilities (other than being foreign, of course  )which let you read but not spell properly! :/

Both spelled and spelt are valid. But "spelled" seems very informal
when used compared to spelt. Same goes for a lot of words. Oddly enough
many tend to be the general American form.
