Ebaumsworld needs to sink into the f**king ocean. I can't even express how much it pisses me off that this guy steals peoples' hard work, slaps his name on it, makes money for his "efforts," and the free world can't do a goddamn thing about it because he doesn't give a s**t. Some of the material on there is funny, but I'll be caught dead before I give that son of a bitch a single hit. Do you appreciate that Andrew Bauman is making hundreds of thousands of dollars for a website of whose content he made nothing? whose content he stole? It's ridiculous.

Putting his logo on something he's taken without permission and not thanking the author isn't stealing?
I've heard quite a few horror stories about how Bauman gets his content. He finds or is referred to some popular video or flash game, puts it on his website, and doesn't respond to complaints by the authors - he even deletes their complaints from his forums. So I'm not surprised you've never heard anybody complain about it.
I want you to consider the case, from around the time of HL2DM's genesis, of dm_petrol, which, without a letter of permission from or credit to the author, got put into a mappack with a bunch of killboxes and physics fun maps. That is the exact same thing as Ebaumsworld. You wouldn't tolerate it in the mapping community, you shouldn't tolerate it otherwise.
