Why do we have to be limited to one design?

edit:

Why not have a snarkpit store? Mousepads, shirts, snarkpit water bottles?

I would LOVE a snarkpit shirt.. BUT, I would much rather a small snark insignia around the heart with something simple but cool on the back. I don't really dig a big snark in the middel of the shirt.

Well, like I said, just a crappy mockup. My main point was that a wireframe t-shirt would be simply daft.

Well guys, as a graphic designer I'd be happy to make the final image/design once we've decided on an idea that works.

I am for the idea of having "The SnarkPit" on the back, centered, and having a small picture of the snark on the front, toward the left upper corner of the shirt.

Anyone else supports this design?

I think my girlfriend would find it quite funny seeing me in not just a thong, but one with a snark on  ha!

The thing next to the topic button looks like a Xen pad which makes you fly in the air on HL1, not entirely sure though.

I'll see if I can put something together.

do you think that a picture of a snark model from mdl veiwer would violate

Thanks, it was my idea. But the majority of the Pit members seem to favor the wireframe idea, or just a picture of a snark. Should we conduct an official poll?

To be honest, most of these ideas can be implemented if we choose somewhere that will make them on demand.

And since they don't do any non-white clothing, yes Cafepress should be avoided. Copyright-wise, something wireframe should be fine- snarks can really only go ahead if we get permission to use them, or sell these shirts "secretly" as more of a fun thing than a commercial venture. Or, perhaps we can use that age-old excuse to break copyright, called "parody"? Such as a Snark with a Groucho Marx false nose/glasses/moustache on, now that would really confused people

my cafepress shirt will be here soon so I can give you an idea of how good it is.

Can someone do the Snark in a Map Grid? Maybe look for the Snark in the model viewer and then use the frame instead of the skin texture.. and then use that as a logo big on the back.. Building Worlds one line at a time could be along the bottom of that, and then use the Snark Pit logo like it is here on the web page on the left chest area, above a pocket or on the pocket.

I LOVE that front of the t-shirt. People who want snarks would be happy. people who want wireframe would be happy. I love it.

Except the font on the back I don't like....and I would like more of an abstract photo instead of something recognizable....if that makes sense.

The front looks beautiful though...good placement and everything

It's really cool how that thing is wireframe... but isn't that one of
the poison baby headcrabs that drops out of the Gonarch from the first
game?

I really like the front as well. Great design. I imagine the back would be pretty expensive to do?

I know its a Headcrab.. I dont have a Snark model to use in the model viewer to make it wireframe. =(

Please Share your idea..

Also The Back image was just something to use, because I could not find a good wire frame map to use.. I wanted to use the one in the header here but its way to small.

One of the reasons I asked about when the Snarkpit came into being was I wanted to add at the bottom of the back one of two quotes.

1: Creating Worlds since 2001

2: Supporting the Mapping Community since 2001
And it was just an idea to help get the juices flowing and in hope that a shirt design is settled on so we can get them and geek out by wearing them, rolling our mice across the mouse pads, and covering our balding heads with the hats..
