WHAT!>? You guys think this is good? Seriously I'm shocked, especially with you Orph. I mean cumon, King Kong with dinosaurs? Its a load of crap SFX mashed together to get morons to watch a film. I'm disapointed with you both! Deeply...

Besides the fact that there were many dinosaurs in the original King Kong, right?
It looks good, and after LOTR and The Frighteners I trust Jackson's abilities. Not to metion, I like Adrian Brody. Good actor.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Well, where did this monkey come from? Why wasn't it killed by the dinosaurs? What makes this island so special to keep dinosaurs? The giant monkey I just accepted as being some strange occurance, but dinosaurs?
Cumon Orph, I know its King Kong, but Dinosaurs? Jack Black? I see the makings of a new Independance day esque film of crapness. You can't win me over with good SFX alone!

Actually, I'm a big fan of Jack black. He's a total moron, but does it with a certain style - love Tenacious D. Naiomi Watts and Adrian Brody are very good drama actors, and I think will do well to balance out Jack Black's schtick. With Jacksons reputation and resources, do you think he would mis-cast a role with Jack Black? More likely, he's perfect for this 'entrepreneur, film maker' role. This movie looks like a fun flick. I don't expect anything more.

I have a feeling this movie will be nothing more than a chain of
chewed-up cliches despite it's almost but not quite interesting
trailer.

Which means that this movie will be over-popular despite of it's inferior quality?

It means people will watch it first, then never again. If they do its to laugh at the moment where Jack Black gets killed by the T-Rex, or when Kongs smashing the city, rather than because its a good film.

Yar. It was really wierd. I usually peak at 7 or 8, but I
guess nobody else was on or something. It was pretty sweet
though. I shoulda taken a screenshot to prove it...
Shame. Anyways, that movie is gonna be good friday night entertainment.

I think it's gonna be kinda like the new Star Wars movies in that you
can only enjoy it as long as you go in knowing it's going to be crappy.
