Due to reasons beyond my control, today will prolly be my last day for a while. The guy who owns this place had a serious motor cycle accident and needs to sell this place for cash. The long sob story about medical bills and whatnot.

I don't fault him, but I couldn't/can't give him cash so the short of it is, today I am packing whats left into storage and staying with Kin. They have no internet. Not even dial-up

If I can, I will try to establish some sort of a connection but, maybe all I'll have access to is the library once in a while.

Keep everything pinned down till I can get back and, thanx guys.

Oh man, I'm real sorry to hear about that mate! Hope you manage to find a suitable solution soon, and that the family you are staying with aren't too annoying to live with (or should that be vice versa?) Best of luck with it all.

Sorry to hear that, but you could visit a local internet cafe every

Sorry, to hear it Orph. Really, I am. I know you'll be back!

Andrei, if he's moving anywhere in arkansas, it might be in the middle of a deliverance-style vine-choked forest, on the top of a huge steep hill. Close enough eh?
I tried sniffing coke, but the ice cubes kept getting stuck in my nose.

Yeah well, life is tough.

The guy who owns this, I hear was hurt very badly so I cannot fault his motives but... He live in California and cannot comprehend Arkansas. The land in this area goes for about..$1,500 dollars an acre. And thats fairly steep. He wants $3,500 an acre and we cannot dissuade him. Before the accident he was all in favor of 1,500, but being strapped for cash.. Well it has altered his perceptions.

Sadly, we didn't yet have the buying price on paper yet because he lived so far away. At the time we moved in it was "well theres no hurry, we'll draw things up this spring.

Oh well... I'll just deal.

The good news is, I might be able to get my phone switched to the new location fairly soon..

crosses fingers

thanx for the well wishers.

Solution found, of a sort. The family has an R.V. So I set up house in it for a while. Hopefully, not to long a while. The "Vice Versa" is closer to the mark than you could know. The wife and I are the oldest siblings in our respective families. So... We are used to being the ones to set the pattern of "how" things are supposed to be.
We are not used to not being in charge. We will prevail however.

Yes and No.
Have you ever timed yourself here? Even on broadband, this site is slow as hell. Now imagine 1 dollar for 5 minutes surf time. To catch up even one thread usually takes that long if its been a while. It would take 5 or 10 bucks to catch up an entire week.

Anyway, after a bit of work running 125 plus feet of wires, I am online. The connection is even worse than my last house though. On a good day I could get 4.4k now its a whoppin 3.2k

But, I have a connection.

Thanx for all the concern and well wishers.
