Lot's of people know Molly the crazy dog. She's my fave dog in the world. But there was this dog out on the road and we picked it up and took it to the vet and got its shots and now we have another dog. It's really cute and seems happy all the time.

Problem is, we don't have a name for it. I need suggestions. It's a girl-dog.

Name it Cerberus. Or Roflcopter. Those are my top two picks... or Chewbacca... Or you could go to one of those baby name sites and browse until you find a name that catches your eye.

I should start a campaign against over-used pet names. I've literally known at least five dogs named "Lucky," and at least three pets named "Chance" or something similar. You should name it Snark... or G.I. Joe.

Valkyrie (a group, but could work as a name easily. Or "Val")
Freya (Goddess of fertility and love ... who was also a bouncer for Odin) It can also be spelt Freyja, I believe

maybe it already has a name that it likes. i got my dog from a rescue shelter about 8 years ago, and he was quite old even then. the shelter had no info on the dog, so i sat for a night with him, going over various names and consonant/vowel variations, looking for some sort of reaction from him. we eventually settled on gus.

Lots of old Norse Mythology names. I like them, but my parents are not into much foriegn stuff or ancient stuff for that matter. Or at least not enough to wanna name a dog after it. They like names like "Molly" and "Susie" and other really american-people sounding names. They didn't wanna name Molly "Berserker" even though it REALLY fits her personality.

I'll tell you Molly's full name if you won't laugh. They named her "The Unfenceable Molly Brown" because she always got out of fences we put her in and she was brown. It's a play off "The unsinkable molly brown" who survived teh titanic and another such shipwreck.
