Quite possibly the worst attempt at humour I've ever seen.

"Lucky Number Slevin"
good watch, dialogue needed work though, a tad long-winded.
starts off a little goofy, then slowly gets darker.

Kurt Wimmer wrote and directed Equilibrium and Ultra Violet. I remember warning people it was complete garbage.
About 20 minutes into the movie I was fine, because the chase scene through the city was enjoyable with the anti-gravity stuff ... but then it had to focus on the kid and racism. Why couldn't it stay a chase movie?
(Apparently Wimmer also wrote The Recruit, no wonder that movie blew ass)
I think the hair/outfit changing colors depended on her "mood". That was my guess, I could be giving Wimmer too much credit though.
I loved Fearless when I saw in theaters, after watching it again on DVD, I noticed a lot of the dialog was changed through subtitles, especially at the end of the movie. I also noticed that during the actor playing Tanaka had a lot of his lines voiced over. It's really noticeable during the conversation he has with Yuanjia while they have tea.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Watched the South Park episode, "Make Love, Not Warcraft".... again. The show has been tanking hardcore the last couple years, but this episode is a new classic.
I was kind of unimpressed with Pirates of the Caribbean 2, I loved the visuals and feel of the movie, but the plot was kind of "ify"... decent at least, too much emphasis on special effects.
Superman Returns almost put me to sleep, they could have done something with Lex Luther or come up with a better plot for him.
Have to agree on "Equilibrium", great movie. Ultraviolet was god awful much like the two Resident Evil movies, IMO the last good she was in was "Fifth Element".

I watched saw a couple nights ago, and it was possibly the s**ttiest movie I've ever seen. It was remotely frightening, the acting was s**t, and if I wasn't watching it with my girlfriend it would have been really boring too. Waste of time, don't watch it.

I really liked The Illusionist. Edward Norton is still awesome.
A few twists and turns I didn't see coming, the "tricks" were
unbelievable, even by todays standards.

A Scanner Darkly will mess with your head. The visuals take awhile to get used to, as well as the strange dialogue. Reminded me of Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas for some reason.

Ah crap I didn't want you particular guys to see that outburst. You know those Negro singers? Well basically I had an image of one of them walking into a room and saying something like that so I had to get it out of my mind by typing it on here. Btw, for the purpose of the thread I also watched Rambo last night.

Behind enemy lines. I thought it was good as an action movie, as long as you don't try to analyze it too much.
For instance, we have half the serb army shooting assault rifles, 50cals, 30mm autocannons, RPG-7s, handguns, and muzzle launched grenades at ONE tired pilot, less than 400 meters away, trying to run UP HILL without any cover. And though these guys throw the entire military budget of Albania at this one pilot, they somehow manage to miss each and every shot and, what's more, the pilot doesn't even get a single scratch as if he somehow managed to enter the matrix and out-maneuver all the shrapnel.

Heck I saw that a few months ago. It's literally unbelieveable some of the situations that guy survived. The witty tricks that he used to fool the enemy where quite clever but all of the munitions and bullets he avoided was kinda ridiculous. I sometimes wonder why they don't try to make these films alot more believable. I mean, a few close calls here and there, but nothing on a stupid scale like on most action films.

I think that some funding came from the Air Force or Navy for that movie. (There were ads for the movie linked with both factions of the military when it was in theaters) it also appears that it's ... very loosely ... based on a real guy being shot down in Bosnia. (Who filed a lawsuit against Fox for portraying him as profane and insubordinate.)
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

On the other hand the main character would look better if he managed to out-smart a clever enemy rather than outsmarting a dumb one.

I thought it was okay, but definitely love Lewis Black. He's one of my favourite comedians. His 'Back in Black' segments on the Daily Show are hilarious.

"Dazed and Confused". I have no idea how the title relates to the film but it was about teenagers, that's for sure.
