If this hasn't been asked, would it be possible to have a sort of
"subscibe to this thread" type thing, where you get pm'ed/emailed
whenever someone makes another post in the thread.

It's on my to-do list, along with a "sticky post" that acts like sticky topics (so people can display important info in topics such as this!).

No, what we need is for Lep to fix the ability to edit reviews so that I can correct that stupid review.

Any chance of removing the 'f**k' word filter or having it ignore urls
please? My pit stopped working after I changed name and I didn't want
to bother you, but now my new hosting has 'f**k' in the url.

Thread creators in the Maps fourm should be allowed to close old
chapters to help maintain the flow of the discussion and help prevent
confusion.

I've noticed a hell of a lot of birthday threads. It might be nice if the pit had a little calander in the people section and a DOB field in members details, an maybe automatically announce them on the front page. Just a thought.

Well unfortunately for you I've decided to delete all that nonsense, it's not the place to bitch and whine about reviews of some s**tty killbox. But I agree, some people here are complete idiots  /not referring to anyone in this thread

Small addition, added the number of people who are watching your map (next to the views on the profile page). When I make a proper watching page in the CP I'll make a list of who's watching.

I'm not sure, but I think they may have been removed as the number of people looking at your map isn't really relevant to the bugs and suggestions thread

This is correct. I'm just trying to keep this thing tidy as it is 78 pages long

I know I've already asked this but... will the quotes be fixed? Ever? Is it possible to only use tags (could that be an optional thing?)

Sometimes theyll have an extra empty line at the bottom that you cant delete... Apart from that, I just dont like the interface, its rather cumbersome. Reminiscent of putting graphics/objects into MS Word in fact...

this "auto notification" feature is coolness, but i have a request.
is there a way to inform us where it originated from? although i have no issues with it in practice, i want to know for certain that i crossed a line or am just being unduly censored.
wrong is one thing, censorship is unforgivable.
the problem is, i can never locate where the auto message came from

i heard someone suggesting a 'last seen' catagory in the memberlist. it sounds like a good idea in general, even though the discussion was only really about keeping a closer watch on mephs' movements.

The list of forums have dissapeared from the left side of my screen. Didn't there used to be a button that would put them back? O_o

It's linked into the Javascript menus now, either you have them and no forums, or no menus and forums on the left. You'll get used to it

Try it again.
On another note, is anyone else having crazy cookie problems (with regards to last visit)?

No cookie problem for me, but I found that I cannot access my pit anymore.
Thanks, Lep, for all the hard work you've done to restore the SnariPit.

That's great news! In fact, I am so relieved that you're
switching to a new host. Oktagone has caused enough grief for you
and everyone at the Pit, not to mention other websites as well.

That may be because of the Timezones? OKtagone's new servers are in
australia, where it probably was 18th feb when the update happened.

I suspect that Snarkpit is faster because there are about 1/3 the users online at any given time.

Ahh, that explains it. I can definitely feel the difference, despite the fact that the server is in Australia.

Most helpful? that would encompass all aspects of editing, including detailed critiques.. how exactly would a program be able to differentiate between solving editing questions and the rest of the steps involved in being "MOST" helpful??

"Most Helpful Editing Question Solver"? (I dunno  it was just a
suggestion, we all know gollum will get this anyways) If not
incorporate in the number of tutorials/ratings of the tutorials as well.
