The only thing I watch on TV are the news and that's about it. I'm so
tired of all these commercials. For every 30 minutes of movie we have 10
minutes of commercials. TEN facking minutes! Don't these morons (who
pay for the commercials) realise that , the more commercials you shove,
the less attention the viewers pay to them? Waste of money. Viva HBO.

Not much, most of my viewing is for specific shows or just while I'm doing something else.
If I actually stopped (or had actual time) to watch TV, I'd probably watch a movie instead.

3-5, mostly Law & Order or Firefly / Battlestar. Plus an occasional Harvey Birdman.

Indeed, Nickel, Family Guy and the occasional thing on Discovery Channel for me. I've lost most of my time to BF2

Hey at least its not like Japan, where they routinely show the same commercial two times in a row to emphasize the product.

I find it particularly annoying when two stations owned by the same parent company not only show the same show at the same time ... but the same episode. Commercial timing only gives you the benefit of having one show faster then the other ... like commercially controlled live playback or something ... which can only be used once until commercials line up again.
It's really only something I've noticed a couple times.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

I do a large amount of casual television use. Like, if I'm eating lunch, I'll flip on comedy central and watch a half hour stand up special.
Current shows I watch (with relative frequency):
Religiously: Scrubs; Arrested Development; Saturday Night Live
Frequently: Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law; Venture Brothers; Family Guy; Rescue Me; Reno 911; The Office (American)
Occasionally: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Two and a Half Men; Stella; Jeopardy!; MXC; Letterman, Conan, Craig Ferguson

3-5 hours. There is probably one good movie up every week, and a bit of news daily. I don't follow any TV shows at all.

I don't understand the appeal of Stella. I watched an episode over the summer and I didn't find it funny at all.

It's a quirky sense of humor show. Basically ... if you liked the Upright Citizen's Brigade: there's a good chance you'll like Stella. But if you don't like retarded humor ... which can be sophisticated ... then ... to each his own.
I enjoy both of those shows though. Especially the URCB, what a fantastic show.

I never watch TV, avtually. I only watch TV if something's on. Like once per month. Because I can't stand the commercials plus I don't like most of today's crap.
Sure there are a few quite nice shows (i.e. scrubs), but my TV-watching times are over. I did it excessively, needed to change it.
Never try to be perfect - just try it and make the best out of it

I watched American Dad for awhile. It's funny, but definitely not
as good as Family Guy, and only has certain good parts. Like it's
little jabs at America in the form of things like the "terrorist alert"
colour thing on his fridge.

Easily more than 12 hours, but most of that is from series I download to watch rather than whats on TV. We then stream the footage to our TV to get a nice homely feel. Stuff I watch ranges from Lost (fantastic program) to Family Guy (new series and the FG film ocasionally) to Weeds (program about a widow of a rich guy who has to start dealing drugs to keep her lifestyle) and other cool series. We have just about every episode of all the big series there are. Couple of episodes of Lost a day easily makes up 12 hours a week.

2 Music videos add up to more than 1.7 hours?
Averaging 1.7 hours of TV per day is quite a lot I'd say.
As for watching very little TV I don't think exceeding 12 hours counts
as very little. Very little is 1 hour or less a week.
I haven't watched TV since school started 3 weeks ago.

The games industry now makes more than the movies industry. Why then aren't there any channels here (Australia) that are dedicated to games (even on cable)?
Reckless disregard for childrens well being, women and nothing but utter contempt for other cultures.
