The only thing I watch on TV are the news and that's about it. I'm so
tired of all these commercials. For every 30 minutes of movie we have 10
minutes of commercials. TEN facking minutes! Don't these morons (who
pay for the commercials) realise that , the more commercials you shove,
the less attention the viewers pay to them? Waste of money. Viva HBO.

Not much, most of my viewing is for specific shows or just while I'm doing something else.

If I actually stopped (or had actual time) to watch TV, I'd probably watch a movie instead.

Its a toughie for me to answer really. I voted 6-8, as I think about an
hour a day seems somewhat fitting. If you add in things like anime,
DVD's, and downloaded shows, that number is bumped up (particularly at
the moment, with both Lost and 24 series 4 being watched intensively in
our flat) On the other hand, I'll quite often go a week watching only
about an hour in total. On average though, I'd say an hour a day.

Hard for me to answer, its not something I usually think about. Probably 6-8 or 9-11. Theres a lot of crap, but theres also a lot of good stuff on tv. Ads generally dont bother me, sometimes theyre funny, and if not theyre easy to ignore.

I find it particularly annoying when two stations owned by the same parent company not only show the same show at the same time ... but the same episode. Commercial timing only gives you the benefit of having one show faster then the other ... like commercially controlled live playback or something ... which can only be used once until commercials line up again.

It's really only something I've noticed a couple times.

I do a large amount of casual television use. Like, if I'm eating lunch, I'll flip on comedy central and watch a half hour stand up special.

Current shows I watch (with relative frequency):

Religiously: Scrubs; Arrested Development; Saturday Night Live

Frequently: Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law; Venture Brothers; Family Guy; Rescue Me; Reno 911; The Office (American)

Occasionally: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Two and a Half Men; Stella; Jeopardy!; MXC; Letterman, Conan, Craig Ferguson

Most of the times i watch the news, sometimes a movie and a documentary. Though most of the programs on Tv are not worth looking, all comercialized stuff.

6-8 hours for me, the news i watch steadily for every morning and evening.

Movies only when there are good ones on.

Documentary's only when i know there coming.

Does anyone else like to watch LOST? I sure do.

I also like those shows where they make cars cool. Like Xtreme 4x4 TV, or Overhaulin, or American Hot Rod. I don't get to see them very often though... (ps, i don't like "pimp my ride" cox i really don't like the stuff they do.)

Lost is awesome, but we have to wait until feb for season 2.

Another good show is House. Its a medical drama, the best one I've seen. Doctors I know say its pretty realistic (in terms of the diseases and their effects). Also good is Numb3rs, a crime/mystery type show where a math professor helps solve crimes.

It's a quirky sense of humor show. Basically ... if you liked the Upright Citizen's Brigade: there's a good chance you'll like Stella. But if you don't like retarded humor ... which can be sophisticated ... then ... to each his own.

I enjoy both of those shows though. Especially the URCB, what a fantastic show.

I watch about 3-5 hours not including dvd's and anime series (Naruto, Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, Hellsing, Trigun and GTO (all subtitled cause english voices suck)) ripped to my xbox. Nearly all the stuff I watch on TV is composed of Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Sealab, Harvey Birdman and the Brak Show. Also anyone watched SkitHouse in Australia? I never watch TV, avtually. I only watch TV if something's on. Like once per month. Because I can't stand the commercials plus I don't like most of today's crap.

Sure there are a few quite nice shows (i.e. scrubs), but my TV-watching times are over. I did it excessively, needed to change it.

I found American Dad to be a fairly unremarkable Family Guy clone. Robot Chicken just bores me. Watched my first ep of Stroker and Hoop last night and I have to say it is seriously the most f**ked up show on Adult Swim. And that's after Sealab and Aqua Teen. It was the one with the beauty pageant. Is it always that morbid / cannibalistic?

I watched American Dad for awhile. It's funny, but definitely not
as good as Family Guy, and only has certain good parts. Like it's

Did you see the ASSSSCAT improv special on Bravo? It was UCB and some

Easily more than 12 hours, but most of that is from series I download to watch rather than whats on TV. We then stream the footage to our TV to get a nice homely feel. Stuff I watch ranges from Lost (fantastic program) to Family Guy (new series and the FG film ocasionally) to Weeds (program about a widow of a rich guy who has to start dealing drugs to keep her lifestyle) and other cool series. We have just about every episode of all the big series there are. Couple of episodes of Lost a day easily makes up 12 hours a week.

The stat choices are somewhat unrealistic. If one is honest and considers every moment they watch, the numbers would almost always exceed 12 hours per 7 days. Thats only 1.7 hours per day. 6 commercials, or 2 music videos add up to more.

I watch very little TV and still exceed 12 hours weekly.

Averaging 1.7 hours of TV per day is quite a lot I'd say.

As for watching very little TV I don't think exceeding 12 hours counts
as very little. Very little is 1 hour or less a week.

I haven't watched TV since school started 3 weeks ago.

The games industry now makes more than the movies industry. Why then aren't there any channels here (Australia) that are dedicated to games (even on cable)?
Reckless disregard for childrens well being, women and nothing but utter contempt for other cultures.
