I voted "I'm in doubt." I recently developed carpal tunnel syndrome (due to marathon gaming with horrible posture), so any gaming I do is in very short bursts of about 10-15 minutes with much longer periods of resting my wrist in between (ie not really worth the time or effort). I'm also just burnt out on FPSes and not really interested much in games anymore TBH. If it weren't for those factors I might get it, though it doesn't look like it brings much (if anything) really new to HL2, just a continuation of the story (which I never finished  ). If someone writes a Half-Life novel I'll probably buy that.

Good eye Andrei.
I voted I'm in doubt, because while I would like to keep up with the HL
series, I'm not as pumped about this episodes arrival as I was about
HL2.
I still have to get around to playing Lost Coast sometime.

There's relatively little hype. I like that. I'd love to see some solid, old-school HL gameplay that's not really worth a superlative but has a lot of atmosphere and interesting scenes. I'm not sure about Alyx. I think' she'll start getting on my nerves somewhere in the game.

Honestly, I think Valve is just having a little fun with their character. It's actually better that they play it off a little humorous and tongue-in-cheek. In this way, they are able to give her some character and spotlight, without shoving the sexiness down our throat. If anything, Valve has always been able to nail the perfect 'tone' with thier characters and like most great movies, always manage to deliver a fiction that is serious, yet sprinkled with enough comedy to not drown in it's own drama.

See, I would get it, but..
The current $60 hl2 package gets you hl2:ep1...
I paid $60 for HL2, yet I don't get hl2:ep1
Signature? What signature!?

I would buy it, but it is a whole month worth of pocket money
The problem is... if it had been, say, Op4 or BS I would have brought it. But thid is only a mere episode, and thus Im will only be recieving a very small part of the whole 'aftermath'. I wish they had kept the entire Aftermath as one, even if it cost more I dont have to worry about buying every episode (Otherwise my ep1 will go to waste if I dont keep it updated)

Just to make you feel better, this is similar length to BS, BS is very short.
This game thoroughly rocked, Here on in were into a fullscale war with the combine. Those combine runner things look really quite spooky, and this has just gotten itself into the same situation as in the matrix, big techy combine vs. puny humans

I just played through it twice (2nd time with commentary) and I must
say I am blow away. The mood, and exicution of this was
amazing.
For anyone who doesn't want to buy it based on the $20 price tag, I'll
bet you've got a shelf full of games that lasted almost as long, with
1/10 the craft and a third the action as this. It may only be an
hour or two or three... but my god I loved it.
and after seeing x-men 3 (which I paid NINE FIFTY for) this was so much much much much more for the money and time.
I even wrote Gabe to tell him what an insperation his company has been to me and what a great game they have made.
I could go on and on...

Does this post count for Sin Episode 1 or Aftermath Ep 1, or both?

I don't know if this has been asked before, but will it be possible to buy episode 1 separately?

Hmm, I wonder if it is worth a month worth of pocket money :/
The problem is for the same price I can get 48 hours at our local Computer Gaming Zone cafe', which have much better PC's/Speakers/Monitors/Everything
and they have HL2:ep1. Maybe I should just pay for a few hours and play it there.
