Why, in Guild Wars, are some poeple light blue dots, and some dark blue dots?
Do toilets really swirl the opposite direction in the lower latitudes?Only those that lead into Breen's office.

AKAIK that rule only applies to hurricanes.

Baron von Snickers said:My cats have been seen playing with moving objects on our TV set. I suppose they are seeing them because they are in time with the objects.
Can animals like dogs and cats "see" what's on a television when they look at it? Or is their brain and sense of sight so different that they can't make sense of it?
Do toilets really swirl the opposite direction in the lower latitudes? The direction of flow of water is mainly dependent on the shape of the bowl, and other toilet-specific factors. The Coriolis force acts differently depending on your latitude, but its so small as to not make a noticable effect.
Can animals like dogs and cats "see" what's on a television when they look at it? Or is their brain and sense of sight so different that they can't make sense of it?Depends on the animal, and the television. CRT TVs have an effective refresh rate of about 30Hz (60Hz interlaced), which to us appears as a moving picture since humans see motion instead of still pictures above around 20Hz. Some animals will need a higher refresh rate to see motion, depending on the animal, they might see a series of still pictures, or more likely a strobing effect. An LCD display will not have the strobing effect. Many animals will see colour differently, as the colour receptors in their eyes are tuned to different frequencies.

The Roma people (singular Rom; sometimes Rroma, Rrom) are an ethnic
group mostly living in Europe. They are believed to have originated
from various nomadic peoples that travelled north of the deserts of
northwestern India and the many mountainous valleys of Pakistan and
Afghanistan. Today, Roma do not form a majority in any state.
Many Roma speak some form of Romany, a language closely related to the
Indo-European languages of the Iranian plateau and more specifically to
Sanskrit and its descendent Indo-Aryan languages found in the Indian
Subcontinent [1]. However, most Roma speak the dominant language of the
region they live in.
]Gypsies are trading people from the Slavic end of Europe originally -<span style="color: lightblue;">I'll have what he's having! :bandit:
Romania, Serbia, Belarus etc.
[Romania is latin, not slavic F- for geography]
They are most probably descended from a
mix of Slavic settlers from Russia mixed with Varangian (vikings)
traders.
[...]
This is just a guess however, but I'd definitely put them down as East
Europeans.
Andrei: That is the slavic end of Europe? People were moving in theAFAIK, gypsies came to this area centuries after the slavic migrations
times of Kievan Rus/Muscovy in and around Serbia, Ukraine, Romania -
and were Slavs. Hence Gypsies are slavs, mixed with Iranian.
Gypsies come from the lost kingdom of Atlantis, after having arrivedI feel like starting a new religion
there from Troy by floating across the sea on the Trojan horse. After
stealing everything that wasn't bolted to the ground, they migrated to
europe with the aid of secret nazi flying saucers, but were captured by
the soviets and were dumped into the volcanoes around London, thus
releasing their souls, who were unfortunately captured by alien
starships (that look like Boeing 707s with rocket engines), which
originated from the Zeta Reticuli starsystem.
The Douglas DC-8,and had them
said to be an exact copy of Xenu's [evil space ruler] spaceships, seats a maximum of 250
people and has a payload of only around 40?50,000 kg, depending on the
specific model.
Can the airwaves get TOO FULL of all the information we send through them with our cell phones and WiFi and all of our radios and stuff? What happens when it does? does the sky start falling? This is dependant on the radio equipment used. The frequencies attainable are infinite, however, because of various tolerances and variations in equipment there is a finite set of possible frequencies that can be sent and received successfully. As manufacturing techniques improve, the set can possible become larger, but never infinite. Using multiplexing, it is possible to have multiple signals transmitted on the same frequency, which helps.
what's the difference between CAT5 and CAT5e cable?Cat5e is an improved version of Cat5, which allows higher transfer speeds and longer cable lengths. Most Cat5 cables sold today are Cat5e.
Why are asians eyes like that? From an evoltionist point of view, i meanThis is called an epicanthal fold. It is beleived to be a natural defense against the weather in central Asia (extreme cold and extreme light). It can also be found in some groups of native Americans, and the Khoisans of south Africa.
If the big bang theory is correct, what started the reaction and what came before the big bang?Thats the big question.
how does "The Void" work in HL2? how can a game create infinit space? Could you really no-clip into the void and go on forever? The game does not actually create an infinite space. The map is, at its simplest, a collection of vectors. What the player sees is calculated from more vectors describing where the player is and what the player is seeing. When you see the void, it just means you cant see anything at that point. If you noclip outside the map, you could keep going until your vector became too large for the game engine to handle, causing an overflow. When this happens, the game could clip your movement so you cant move far enough to cause an overflow, it could wrap the coordinate values so you appear on the other side of the map, or it could just overflow and crash.
