I find it a little hard to believe one of the biggest cross-platform franchises in the world needs more advertising

I found that my bike's new brakes, in fact do work, very well, perhaps a little too well since they propelled me trough the air, which resulted in my wrist breaking on 2 points.
I should have gotten surgery last Monday, but the health care employees are striking atm, so no surgery till tuesday, in the meantime my bones have grown back together, which means the surgeons will have to break it, then re arrange the bones and insert some metal bars and plates.

s**tsux.

Congratz on the stitches man. One time I was riding my brothers mountain bike and the front wheel locked up for some reason while I was riding fast down a steep hill and I think I did 2 flips forward before landing on my ass with the heavy bike on top of me, but I had no injuries at all except.. sigh ... a bruised ass.

id started out with brown as the only color in their palette, and slowly started using more of the rest of the spectrum. Epic started out with a full color palette and have been slowly using less and less of colors that aren't brown or gray.

Anyone remember when I said I hope 3D Realms does an anthology pack of the different incarnations of Duke Nukem Forever?

Check out this terribly disgusting trailer for clues to them doing just that.

Update: I just noticed it was for handhelds ... I'm a bit confused now. Maybe 3D Realms is just dicking with everybody.

Apparently it's all new stuff, but styled as a trilogy. So I hear! No idea what they mean really, but given the state of their trailer I've a feeling maybe they don't either! Something about Duke being back in WWII or something. Madness! Loved the trailer though personally - they've got balls showing that at E3

We've already committed to a date of summer of 2009 so the consumer
knows 'ok, they're not going to take forever to work on this, they're
committed to the summer of 2009 and that's when it's going to come out.'
Like how 3d realms committed to 6 or so release dates since 1999 and still havent released anything?

General / this forum

Q: "Is this site for real?"

A: This site is real. There are people who seriously believe the Earth is flat. However, there are also people on this site who do not.

Q: "Why do you guys believe the Earth is flat?"

A: Well, it looks that way up close. Also, Samuel Rowbotham et al. performed a variety of experiments over a period of several years that show it must be flat. They are all explained in his book, which is linked at the top of this article.
According to the faq, yes.. but with names like Professor Gaycunt leading the forums, I doubt it.

Man, it's really gotten you riled up hasn't it?

The forum is real. There are trolls all over the site, of course. But there are groups outside of that forum that believe the same thing ...

and they're all morons, of course, but, it's funny to laugh at them. You don't feel bad, because they say things like, "Nasa is at the center of all conspiracies" and "It would be relatively easy to guard the ice ring with a few hundred men" ... yeah ... real winners.

I love their explanation of gravity. It's possible (just going by an acceleration explanation), but it makes less sense than just having a spherical planet with an elliptical orbit around a sun. I mean ... according to them, because of this, the universe is rather endless and there's absolutely nothing else in it except Earth, the Sun, and Our Moon. Nevermind the fact that you can SEE other planets in our solar system with telescopes. I guess that's a conspiracy too.

I want them to explain how orbit works. Their explanations just raise way too many questions.

Oh, and their definition of "Alternative Science" is golden:
"Some Moron" said:
Alternative Sciene is loosely defined as any theory that
1) not accepted by the academic community at large.
2) is accepted by a small minority of the general population, including scientists outside academia. These people are looked down upon by the population at large.
3) is referred to as pseudoscience by the academic community.
So ... in otherwords ... bullshit? I mean, that's what he's describing right? Bullshit?

Got who riled up? Not me.. I looked at the site briefly to see if it was for real.. I dont care either way.. if they want to believe the world is flat, I dont care. It does not effect me in any way. I think the World is a Spherical polyhedron. =)

I like how they demand proof that the Earth is a sphere, yet feel no obligation to prove the Earth is flat ... Even though the planet being spherical is the accepted (cause it's the truth) belief (knowledge).

Or, how they try to cook up experiments to prove the Earth is flat, or round that doesn't include any physics or math they don't understand. (Their words, not mine)

Then there's the ones who take ALL Newtonian physics and try to apply it to a flat planet ... you might have noticed they leave some stuff out.

I think they just want to rage against the man ... and apparently, the man is every sane and semi-insane person on the planet.

Still funny though.

And they want to talk crap about coding.. what did they do, use a WIKI format.. that site blows chunks. Hell they are such Tards they even have a gay shout box in the side panel so the tards can shout out to the other tards how dumb they really are.. bunch of wanna be lamers. I have seen better web sites made by 5th graders than what they have there.. What I see coming from them is envy.. the PIT rocks, and they cant stand it.. quoting them on that one.
