Why don't they put these busses on some kind of giant bus super-transporter thing? Not that I want to put you out of a job, Orph, I just don't understand how driving busses all over the palce is the most economical way.

its a one way trip jeff, when the customer buys a bus and its competed we deliver it to them..

1) the cost of delivery is negligible, i am paid a small percentage of the cost.. i assume the bus is in the neighborhood of 50,000 dollars for manufacturing.. my paltry payment is tiny.

2) i can have it there usually next day, possibly 2..

3) the only alternative is by rail, rail would take up to a month i suppose.

4) the miles between here to there is a break in period, it helps assure that it will hold up.

5) some of these people need the bus by a deadline, and driving them is the only way to assure it arrives in time.

these are just the reasons i have been able to glean.. i assume there are other incentives, but as i am not privy to them.. shrugs

think of it this way... i assume products such as food and clothing are manufactured and delivered by truck where you live?? well i just happen to drive this product, without the need for a truck

And it's cheaper to travel by bus, so it wouldn't make fiscal sense to deliver them any other way.

You didn't tell me when and I'm not even sure how to get to West Linn.
I've never driven that far south. Not to mention Wednesday is probably
going to be busy as hell. Got a LAN to host on the 30th.

Maybe something will happen, who knows?

no, but if i ever do i will holler atcha.

you see, the thing is people don't seem to realize that i travel "through" most everyone's home on the way to and from my destinations..

in fact today i went right past nickleplates home, and 3 days ago, i drove through doc rocks.

if you people take a moment to bring up mapquest and see if you are on my route to or from, i can try to swing by on one of the directions.
true, its a bit hard if you live on the ocean, i cannot drive much past you, but i could still deviate the route a touch sometimes

 That's Oregon for you. Grey skies and rain in the west and trashy desert in the east. If it had been a clear day we might have gotten Mt. Hood in the background, but I'm not at all sure it's visible from where we were.
