Females probably enjoy sex more as they tend not to get as big a hype
as us males, makes me think we should have a female member in the pit
somewhere to tell us her opinions. If we have such a member, or is this
community just a sausage fest?

Regarding the original post, didn't the kid's parents notice he had his pants down? Like, did they just glance in the room and think "oh Jimmy's having another seizure" and walk out without a second glance?
I'm just thinking "wtf?", that's all.

I agree! we could even expand the snarkpit into a HL/HL2 mapping and sex education.
And while we are on this taboo subject, any europians out there:
What is sex ed like for you guys, like over here they basicaly say "sex = babys and STDs DONT have sex or you will die"
They dont teach us about sex becuase the right thinks that we wont get
jiggy with it if we dont know how... when really all that happens is us
kids dont know how to use condoms and we get each other pregnent

Sex needs to be de-mystified in the States, and it should stop being treated as a tabooed topic. Knowledge is power, and knowledge allows people to make an educated decision when it comes to sex.
If those parents knew what was going on in the first place, then they wouldn't have gotten so freaked out with their son masturbating.
And if we make sex education so inaccessible, young people would be even more tempted to do it. It's like the forbidden apple. No one wanted to try it until it was deemed off-limit.

In Arkansas at least, religion is the driving force behind most ignorances in our youth.
As sad as that may sound, its how most I know of sees it.
If you have a mission to educate, you need to begin where the ignorance is, our churches.
I did not type this to have a battle royal over the pro's and con's of religion either. It was just a general comment on where and whom is most responsible for the things considered taboo.

When I had Sex education they showed us movies of women giving birth (which was nice) told us all about the organs all the ins and outs of them.
Told us about condoms put one on a kind of dildo (it was more like a plastic tube theat they had just stuck to a pice of card) and some other stuff that I carnt really remember cos I wasnt paying attention.
Oh and it dont help us that much cos we have lots of tenage pregnancys I think we have the highest in europe I know it was one of the highest.
There was one lass near me that got pregnant at 13 and got the school to get an abortion arranged for her and she had it and neither she or the school bothered to tell the girls mother. Then a coupple of months later she was on the news again cos she was pregnant again but this time she had decided to keep it.

fact #1. you cannot prevent kids from engaging in sex.
fact #2. sexual encounters with kids last between a few minutes and a few seconds.
fact #3. if kids don't wanna get caught, they won't.
fact #4. the path to enlightenment is through education.
teach kids the proper ways to have relationships, that does not involve sex. teach children that there is a proper way to have sex. in that order.

Not only education, but self-confidence is necessary to ward off peer pressure from having sex. Most of the times, the least mature and the least emotionally ready individuals end up getting pregnant because they yeild to sexual pressure to get extra attention (from boys).
It's a difficult problem to solve, but a strong healthy mind is the best start.

most guys i know just want to ahve sex so they can SAY they did... And yes orph most of our problems today start with selfishness. just about EVERY problem we have can be tracerouted to GREED and SELFISHNESS. I am quite possible the most religious and conservative snarkpitter under the age of 30 (and quite possible over too) and I can honestly say, that less and less people are turning to God and more and more problems are rearing thier ugly heads at the same time. You can see that to someone like me who is religious and stuff, that this only makes sense according to my beliefs. I DONt wanna start the "religion debate" I just wanted to EXPLAIN my point ov view. I tihnk all the teen pregnancies and ALL problems can be attributed to SOMEONE'S selfishness or greed.
BTW: For some reason I know a lot about anatomy and stuff and it seems that i may have read somewhere that not only do women have MORE nerve endings in thier genitalia, but they are more closely packed. (am i right about this Satchmo?) So how oculd they NOT enjoy sex more than us.
But, conversely, if they DID enjoy it more than us, then why the heck did MALES get stuck with the DRIVE!?

Yes, I need to Good Lord to keep me from impregnating the female population of my high school.
It's not about good or evil, selfishness or altruism. It's about having innocent fun or being stupid enough to get a girl pregnant. It's condoms we need, not Jesus.
In any case, morality has no necessary connection with religion.
And yes, children should be taught not only that they are special, but to be downright selfish and proud. You have no idea of my generation's insecurity, mostly because none of us feel strong enough to admit it exists. A good friend of mine once refused to eat solid food for three days because a friend called her fat. Another guy I knew came close to suicide because a girl didn't like him. I myself spent a year or so deeply ashamed of my own emotional problems, ones which I now recognize I had no control over.
Are you going to tell me my generation is too proud, too self-centered? No. We put on ourselves and have put on us too much guilt for what's not our fault, too many standards we cannot reach, and, worst of all, too many ill-conceived, ignorant ideas of how to solve our problems. We do not believe we are "special," nor that we are "pretty." We are weak and ashamed of our weakness. Excessive pride is not our problem at all.

Our generation is a whole diffrent story. I think it boils down to lies.
Parents should teach kids that they are special, but they shouldn't
hide them from the truths of life. I see so many kids that are so
out of touch with reality becuase their parents wont let them see that
the real world is full of sex, drugs, and violence.
So here we are, not knowing the full truth about life untill its
dropped in our laps... and then we have the media. MTV, any
network tv, etc. We see these people and relationships that are so
faulse. Have you ever watched one of those teen disney
shows? That is nothing like real life. We are growing up
with such f**ked up mixed up signals that there is no reality anymore.
I'm a lucky one, I had the right mix of parental controle and freedome, and the right exposure to real life.
I think school should teach classes that explane relationships, sex, and protection...
/4am rant... sry

What an "interesting" thread, I must say. Schools should show those graphic pictures of STDs in sex education since that made every guy in the class swear that they'd never have sex (until a few weeks later). And then yeah, talk about sex, though personally I'd be both amused and disturbed if I found my 2-year old fondling himself.

Me wonders why there aren't any female mappers around. I'll bet many
girls would join snarkpit only for the sake of replying to this thread,
which is evolving in a very concerning direction, btw.

The sex ed over here is pretty much what gimpinthesink described.
Starting at an early age with cartoons to show "how it's done"
and then later talking about sexual diseases, protection and feelings
related to sex and relations.

What's the name of that adaware cookie that transforms certain words into (i)relevant hyperlinks? All words like "sex" and "betting" (even the "sex" from "sexual!) in Orph's reply have been transformed into links which lead to searchmiracle.com or something like that. All other replies are strangely unaffected (except for Hugh's, having the words "sex" and "bed" ,as part of "disturbed", underlined).

I dunno what adaware thing you may have, but on a personal level, ever topic i read, see, or hear turns itself into a sexual context topic.
maybe its me, but anything at all can be construed into a sexual term or thought.
perhaps you need to get out more and your monitor will display correctly when you return, you can always take matters into your own hands.

Like I said, I thought it was odd. Was actually quite thankful and
relieved when I finally came. I was exhausted, and also thought the
moment would never come. Just try not to imagine the sweat and smell.

But was is this counting from penis in vagina sex or sex as in starting
fully clothed and working your way to "real sex". Becuase if its
the latter then I can agree. 2 hours of strait humping though...
I dont think porn stars hopped up on viagra could even last that long!

You get bored after 20 minutes- never mind 2 hours. Are you sure it was a 'she' and you weren't just humping the bed?

I've experienced one of those "marathon" type of sex. Even though it's still pleasurable, it gets so damn tiring after a while. It's a real workout.
I can understand why it took so long for a first-timer. Being nervous and having some "performance anxiety" can definitely contribute to the prolonged action. I feel for the girl though. Her genital must have been ground to a pulp by the end.
But I believe it's entirely possible. On the other hand, if someone said "fourteen hours", then I would respectfully say "bulls**t" to that.

yea... abstinence is all we need.. yea.. DUDE thats the problem with sex education nowadays. (in the states anyway)
people will always have sex, theres no doubt about that. no matter how many times you teach em its evil, dirty, unhealthy, or what have you. what they need is education on birth control, STDs, daterape drugs, what "consentual" means, and the differences between love and lust.
now.. i, personally, practice abstinence.. my hand is all thats needed for sexual tension, and it keeps my relationships with women real simple. now if you'll excuse me..

All you gotta do is be an asshole and you never even have the opportunity to have sex! It worked for me!!!
no but really, I have religious reasons for abstinence, but no matter what me reasons may be, i've never had an STD or a kid, so i'm cool with that. (except the time i went to england and was at this kinda slutty chick's house and i thought i got the crabbies off the toilet seat.) <--true story...

I think if two people can have sex and be safe about it then there is no problem.
My girl friend is on birth controle and I wear a condum (not around town, I mean when her and I get "it" on).
aslo, I think that if we took some of the tabooness out of sex it would
solve some problems. I am a very open person, but even so I have
a hard time talking about my penis to my girlfriend in real life!
We are so up tight about sex and sexuality, kids have sex and never
talk about it. They dont tell each other what is good and bad, so
they find other people to have sex with. Talking about sex with
your partner builds stronger bonds with that person.
I think it all boils down to a "They say I cant do it, so I will" mind set in teens.
Sex is great, but it isn't going to change your life. Its worth
waiting for. Rather than saying that we are told sex is horrible,
and that even with protection your going to get AIDs and have a baby.
Kids need to stop being lied to and adults need to let us make our OWN
choices, if they would just give us the strait facts rather than
feeding us propoganda we would, in the end, do what is right.

...wow, such a manly theme...
I'm 16 and my parents could care less what i do as long as i kepp it safe.
I was forewarned them: "mom, dad, my girlfriend is gonna come over for a bit, could you please give us some privacy?"
The reply from my father: "Alright. The condoms are in the upper drawer in the bathroom"
me: "...you assume too much..."
people say my parents are badass and i agree.

That's great for parents to be open about sex. I am going to be such parent.
I am a very open communicater, including topics on sex. I talk about sex with my fiance all the time, and I am glad that we're able to discuss what works and what doesn't.
It's important to keep an open line of communication, whatever the topic. That's what sustains a relationship, and build trust between two individuals.
Lack of openness in a relationships spells death for it.
