For those of you each year forced to post your own birthday threads, THIS ONE'S FOR YOU.

I know its a royal pain in the glutes to remember everyones B-Day around here so I thought I would wad them all into a single thread.

On June 22nd I will be celebrating the anniversary of my 16th birthday. 'Course that was.. (takes off shoes to use all digits. Notices shortage and uses wifes digits as well.) 27 years ago.

So... I fully expect someone to check this thread come June.

I'll be the big Two-One (thats 21, not 3 or whatever number you managed
to turn it into) on July the 10th. I still think we should have
something in our profiles with DOB and have it post the birthdays on
the front page. Would be plenty easy enough...eh Lep

I mentioned this and a calendar of events ages ago.. It was either vetoed, or forgotten.

A calendar could have our birthdays, without the need to code each profile.

Its essentially going to do the same thing. The code running each
profile is identical, its is just a database after all. Every person
could enter their DOB into their profile the same as other information,
and Lep would just have to write a bit of code that compares todays
date to each DOB field in the database, and if the day of the year
matches, then print out something somewhere (either in a special
calender type page, or on the front page or something) saying whose
birthday it is. I think for him to make up a calender would really be
as much, if not more, hassle.

Regardless of how its implemented though, it would be nice

The easiest way for the DB end would be to create a new field ... however, as far as I've seen Lep tries to avoid that. Probably because there's an ass-load of initialization code. But, I could be wrong, since I don't know how the site is set up exactly.

The actual implementation of anything usually isn't that hard. It's getting it to run nice and even with your current system that is the problem.

Adding flags would be cake though. Since he already has the countries stored.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

Tell your spouse to not be surprised if I show up around delivery time. Uncle Jon just loves new younguns to brag about

AT 2:17 P.M. ON DECEMBER 6TH, 1992, A NEW TYPE OF BOMB EXPLODED OVER THE METROPOLITAN AREA OF JAPAN.

Is what the manga says.

The Anime just says

1988 * 7 * 16

(I'd be 5, not 9. Sorry, mixed up the years)

Why did he change the date? I don't know. But most likely, it's because the Anime came out in 1988.

Age doesn't guarantee wisdom. I have seen it right here and at PFL coming out of 15 year olds. It is rare, but it happens.

I would never stretch the definition of wisdom to include myself but... Some of what I say will make more sense as you age.

My all time favorite belief.. "Life is like a circle. The young worry about whats outside of it, the old worry about whats inside. Worry about what you can actually change which is on the inside of the circle."
When that makes sense to you, you will be catching up.

I'm a borderline oldie...a few years of youth left in me yet though.

October 26th 1978, so 27 later this year.

Only interesting thing I found that happened on that date was the shootout at OK Corrall in 1881, a few years before my time

I was born on December the 12th 1983 and I was 21 last time.

So people get a easy way to remember my birthday and it also works wekk in the american way of writing dates with the month first. Strangly enough my sister was born on Novermber the 11th but 3 years earlyer.

Interesting things that happed on my birthday

some bloke with the same first name as me was executed for rape but that was is 1777 and in 1983 a truck bomb explodeed at the US Embassy in Kuwait.

Oh and Orph alot of what you say makes sence to meyou seem to phrase things the same as me.

November 15, 1982.

I think that puts me in the top ten for age oddly enough. There is a sharp drop at 21/22 which seems to indicate that people tend to fall away after graduating from college. I certainly haven't been around as much.
Some people are like slinkys...

They aren?t really good for anything, but you can't help but laugh when one tumbles down the stairs.
