Santa brought me exactly what i paid for :wink:

I got.

1) a new 32 inch stereo TV
2) a surround sound system
3) a DVD/VCR combo

Hopefully Santa will bring Jinx some $$ to pay off his credit card bill since he already bought himself way too many pc goodies the last couple months :x

A 2,4GHz AMD Athlon, for which i do not have the proper motherboard.

We did our presents yesterday.

Also got Expose 1 and D'artiste (see cgtalk.com/ballistic publishing's web site), Family Guy volume 1, the Indiana Jones box set, Lost in Translation, $50 to Barnes and Noble (Raising the Bar, here I come!) and some other various goodies.

you still get that tiny thrill by just saying the word "wife"?

wait till you get to say the word "son" or "daughter" those are bigger thrills, but shorter in lifespan. i still get a thrill over the word "wife" after 23+ years, but now "son" is replaced by "GRANDSON" :biggrin:

I got my Zombie Survival Guide and I'll get around $450 later from my grandparents. Then I'll buy a 9700 Pro + 20GB HD + another 256 MB of RAM, as my computer's fairly well crap right now. :smile:

I have been engaged since March of this year, but I've already started calling my fiance "wife" and wearing my wedding band. I can't wait to get married and start a family with her. I love her so much.

She got me a ATI card for my birthday two years ago and "FarCry" for this year. I already bought Half-Life 2 myself, otherwise she would've gotten that for me too.

We're so lucky to have spouses who are so supportive of our geeky habits.

I gots my MP3 player, webcam, watch, lotsa clothing, and an old school Atari :razz: which I've yet to play.

i got the original LOTR role-playing game from like the 70's, $200 paid for off of the cost of my laptop. $50, I, Robot DVD-RWs CD-R's my brother's band's music video (before release) Beef jerky (i'll send some to you britssome.)

KFS, Raising the Bar is a great read, I got it a while back and it was worth the money.

As for my gifts...I got a wallet (of which I sorely needed a new one, I
should post a picture of what was left of my old one), socks (haha),
cashews, Bourne Supremacy DVD, Gingerbread man, 2 dress shirts,
headphones, Rammstein's Reise, Reise CD, and a very nice office chair
for my computer desk. I also got $100 towards an mp3 player (probably
going with the Zen Xtra 30GB). Oh, and $20 gift cert. for
Futureshop...so I think I'll get the Bourne Identity with that.

Gorb, get a warranty on the Zen if you can, or don't get it at all.
I've had two of them break. One fell from the top of my tower and the
hard drive failed. The other just stopped working while I was deleting
a number of songs off it. :sad: Never buying anything from that company
again, what muck.

I haven't found anything near the cost and abilities as that one though. And I have a friend who owns one with no issues.

wireless PCMCIA card and router. Ahh, finally COMPLETLY cordless
laptoping.
But best of all I get to see some of my friends
tonight.

I wish I could find a DVD rack like the one I have
(Damn you Best Buy for not carrying my compressed-particle board
stand anymore). I've got a 4 foot high stack on my floor that needs
"organizing".

I also am getting muscled into cooking
Christmas dinner.
So far, the turkey looks pretty good ... so far.
(it has about 2 hours to go)

I'm a wannabe. I do lots of stupid s**t in the mountains that ought to have killed me by now, and slowly I'm building up a base of experience and equipment that will offer at least the illusion of safety. I've been doing low level mountaineering for five or six years, and this is my first ice axe. That tells you something about insanity.

I got tickets to see Jon Stewart, a fair pile of books including Blinking with Fists, Naked Pictures of Famous People, Gasping for Airtime, Welcome to Monkey House, and Without Feathers. All by different people. I figure if you care about a title, you probably know the author already. I also got a Pumpkins T-Shirt and a toolbox and crescent wrench set, which I have no plans to use as of now.

How the hell do you people get so many games and not drown financially?

i got a mp3 player, ssx tricky and ssx 3 for x-box (no my mom doesn't know alot about games) and a monty python dvd box :biggrin: and a metallica: dark souls dvd :smile: oh, and money :smile: and a pencil (i asked for ONE pencil :wink: )

mother. presents seemed moot this year, just sitting down to eat with
