So is there anything like a SnarkPit clan? I want to be in... But it's pretty hard because I'm getting a lot of invites from other clans... And I'm a mapper (well, not a good one, but still) so I want to be in this clan

We have an unofficial/non-pressure clan. Just add [Snarkpit] in front of your handle.

Dunno about anyone else, but I use it every time I frag.. No matter the server.

Predominantly.. Snarkpit, Diner and Old Fart's

The best things in life, aren't things.

We are very inactive at the moment, and as Orph said, its very
informal. You are more than welcome to use the Snarkpit tag - you play
on the server as much as anybody and you're a member of the site. If
you wish to join one of the other clans you are getting invites from,
and stilll use the Snarkpit tag and have the opportunity to play in
matches we have, you are free to do so. I don't see a problem with
people who are in other clans still using our tag provided they are
members of the site. We are too inactve to expect people to dedicate
themselves to us, particularly right now since its summer and gaming
isn't top of too many people's agendas.

No-one did anything wrong, this bug seems to exist from the very
beginning of the snarkpit server. And I have no idea what could be
causing it.

Good point, Dark Tree. Update the rotation! Advertise the server!

Either way I won't be able to pay the server renewal this time next March/April. I have extended my travel plans to include staying in Perth and working to accumulate money for a return leg via Asia/Europe, so will be cash strapped.

Will it be worth getting a renewal or what? You guys are the eyes, ears and admin of this wonderful little box so feedback and suggestions on popularity/mods etc etc need to be put down here... I'm on the wrong side of the world to home so my contribution is only limited.

Discuss...

I hardly ever play on the server, but that's just me. I don't play a lot on-line anyway.

So actually, I can't even tell if there's people playing often or
not... how's things going on the server, people? Anyone still playing?

I haven't been in the server in about a month now  I never get around
to online gaming anymore. I play BF2 about once a week if its lucky and
thats really my only online gaming time. I don't even know if its at
all popular, I've been a bit lax at checking it these days. I used to
check in via HLSW's remote admin controls and ask the people in there
if everything was working okay, but its been weeks since I last
checked. My apologies good owner, I'll try and be a little more
proactive about keeping my eye on it.

I suggest making the server active in the ProMod. It is 20xs
better than HL2DM. It is the only DM I will play now. The website is:

http://hl2dmpro.com

It is similar to HL2DM with a few exceptions:

-It has the LongJump Module

-Gauss Cannon/Tau

-Various other HL1DM implementations (turn off the red dot/aiming on RPG)

-Weapon binding in menu

-Shows timeleft always on maps

-Built-in vote system for every server (choose your own maps/time length)

-Other Stuff

It is really nice and still in beta, but it needs some more servers!
The K-9 clan has basically the only active servers, but if the Snark
Pit put one up, it could seriously add some attraction to the
mod. It wouldn't even PLAY DM anymore if it wasn't for this
mod...try it out at least once!

Since the last update, commands like rank statsme top10 thetime and admin don't seem to work on the server anymore. Or on any other server for that matter. Anyone else having this issue ?

anymore - you might wanna try emailing him personally or something

Sorry Reno, I've been busting my ass so much at school, that I haven't
had time to do anything. I finally got my site updated and runnign
again, and I new I needed to come back to the Pit cause it's myroots,
and prob the only place that gives true and honest critiques. I miss
Orph  feel bad now cause I was not fully aware that he left. I
thought I read a while back that he was thinking about it but didn't
know if he did personally.

However to Orph and all of you thanks for adding Lambda. I hope to work
on my daybreak map and submit it, and I need to get you guys the
upgraded lambda.

PM me reno, how ya been?

Nope, from admin to thetime and rank, everything is dead. I wonder if other servers are having this problem aswell.

Just been on the server for once. I haven't played any DM for months
but recently got into it again now that I'm mapping for it again.
Playtesting my map has been a lot of fun lately.

But uhm, nobody was on the server. Anyone who visits now and then or is it totally abandoned these days?

Allow me to correct myself; they don't work on the snarkpit server. They run well on all other servers.

Mani sabotaged?

Oh man, why didn't I play this game last months? It's a lot of fun on the server.

Though some people don't seem to be admins anymore while they were
before. Is Gwil still around to fix that or can ReNo fix that as well?

Well I can access to the server via FTP to change admin file lists and
what have you, but at the moment I'm not at my uni flat so don't have
access to my own PC. I'll look into it when I get back - pester me via
PM or something if I forget

I've got an alpha stage of mudanchee on-line now, could someone add it to the server for some playtesting sessions?

The alpha is downloadable from the maps profile, or you can get it
directly
here.
