Half-Life: Deathmatch Area 172

This map will be a secret military base that goes deep into the ground were no one can find it ...... well other than you lol. This secret base is called Area 172. There will be lots of secrets in this map. There also will be some traps. If you go deep you might find the gman and some aliens. There are also many ways to get back to the top. Most weapons will be inside. The top of the map will be a big out doors area while the inside ... well lets just say I cant tell you right now, its top secret. But I can tell you, you just might find a UFO inside a hanger outside, but thats if you can find it.

Pictures: The Left most picture is a hallway to the one of the entrances to Area 172.

The two other pictures as you can tell have not been lighted well yet. The next time I post a picture of the outside it will be a night time sky. Also the ground wont stay flat. Just a reminder that these two pictures will change.

Since the release of HL2 SDK I've been messing about trying to learn the art of MP mapping, doing basic rooms, physics, etc.

Having learnt so much I thought I'd give creating a map a try. I didn't want to start with anything too complicated so that's why (or one of the reasons why) I chose the old HLDM map Gasworks.

Most people will know Gasworks map from HLDM; It's a little bland texture and detail wise, but it is my first map and that's why I felt comfortable doing it. Apart from that, it used to be one of my favourites.

Anyway, I've attempted to integrate a couple of physics items into the map but I've remained faithful to the original design and look ? though don?t quote me on that.

Oh and before you jump on my back for poor spelling. I'm British and you should know by now we are all crazy nonconformist who put r's before e's.

Just finished this. Its quite small but I?m reasonably pleased with it (using reasonably in a flexible way). One of the main aspects of this map is the use of physics. For instance the magnum (aka noob cannon) and rocket launcher can only be accessed via use of phys objects. It also has a crane which i though we be a nice touch. Making forts and what not with it biggrin.gif. Updates in the future are mostly going to do with aesthetics and adding a few more indoors areas. More detail, better 3dsky box, rain that isn't purple and making the cube maps actually work!:. Anyway enough of me blabing hope you enjoy this.

This is my first dm map that i'm intending to release to the community. I have designed maps for HL1 SP, but only for personal use. This is just an early stage of what the map will look like after a few days of work. Dont mind the lighting I just stuck some lights in there to get an idea of what it'll look like in-game. I may enter it into the valve DM competition if im satisifed with it.

Counter Strike Source cs_yemen_source

This is the Source version of Yemen. I did many versions of yemen for regular CS. Many folks from an old server I used to play on asked me to revamp it for source, so I did. I built it from scratch and maintained the originals unique style of play but vastly improved the look and connectivity of the original. Being played on the jxp server and very popular there. Next I will do my map pdds_duals for Source.

This is rebuild of cs_mansion from the old CS! It was my favorite map and I couldn?t stand the idea that i could be forgotten..and never be played again on LAN-Parties. I also hate the cs_estate rebuild thats on the net and is named like this great map

DE_SUBWAY is a bomb defuse map for CS:S

Counter-Terrorists: Prevent Terrorists
from bombing the subway tracks. As you
travel down the track make sure to keep
away from the third rail and oncoming trains.

Terrorists: The Terrorist carrying the
C4 must place the bomb at one of the two
bomb sites at the end of the tunnel.
As with the CT's watch that third rail
and oncoming trains.

This is my first map. I used it as a means to learn
Hammer and get ready for the release of DoD:S

1. Geometry added to Train path to help prevent sound leak and problems with the source engine. (Possible BUG)
2. Bomb zones enlarged to make it easier for the T's to plant
3. Made T spawn less crowded to make getting out easier.

5. Additional exit for CT's
6. Added wall to T's spawn exit to help balance game.

Rats style map set in a bedroom - nothing new there.

2 Traps:

The first is a crossfire style airstrike - The button is contained in the bunker under the floor.

The second is used when the airstrike is activated and the person is too slow to get under the floor before the doors close. The button is under the chest of draws, which once pressed releases snarks into the underfloor corridors.

There is a jumppad, lift and working stereo playing a few tune.

This is not a well constructed map, but it is quite fun in medium to large numbers of people.

This map needs 3 players.

Half-Life 2 CQB1

This is my first attempt at mapping. I thought I would do something small, and this is what came to my mind. When the military and police s.w.a.t. teams train for CQB (close quarters battle) they use what's called a tirehouse, basically old tires stacked up about 10 ft high and filled with dirt. I could not find a suitable tire texture so I used concrete and plywood. I can not get the plywood to look right so if anyone has any ideas on it let me know. I would like some feedback on what you all think, positive or negative.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch BlackMesa2

TSSThorn: This will be a map of Black Mesa from Half-Life. Of course it will look a bit different, lol. There will be extra areas to enter that were not in the original Black Mesa. You might even be able to spot the G-MAN somewhere. There will also be tons of traps and secrets, some hard, some easy to find. The finished version will have almost every object breakable, so be careful. I am also thinking about making the test chamber useable, that way players can go to the alien world, Xen. As soon as I get my site up you can expect there to be pictures and updates on this map. As soon as I get 50% of it done, I will release a downloadable beta version. I am hoping TSSTopSniper and I can finish it by the release date, however, it is not guranteed.

Update: Keep in mind, these pictures are not the final version. TSSTopSniper and I will be editing alot to make it look better. You can see more screen shots at my site.
