Counter Strike Source CS_Roof

CS_Roof, is your standard hostage rescue situation, the counter-terrorists begin there mission in an elevator, leading out into an office, the building you are in is about 80 stories tall, and the terrorists are cornered...so to speak, on the roof, with the hostages, the counter terrorists must fight there way up to the top floor and rescue the hostages, there is plenty to hide behind in the office complex, then when you hit the roof, you can duck and dive behind fans, and power generators until you reach the hostages.

This map will feature.
1. A locked door, behind which are 2 of the hostages. This door can only be opened by shooting off its hinges.
2. Several other things, but the above is what im most proud of :D

Half-Life 2 Thirst For Blood (Working title)

This mod is chapter based, these will be released one at a time once they are compleated with 6 planned. Each chapter will give us a good idea as to what people think and much needed feedback.

You will play the role of an earth marine in the distant future when man has been devided for centuries and has lost almost all contact with each other, with few other races in the game the story will concentrate on the re-unification of the species, the technology will be based on real scientific theories and possible sci-fi ideas. Chapter one is primarily an opener and will be based on an earthlike planet owned by a former earth colony that has brocken away from earth control. Only in chapter two will the full story start to reveal itself. The idea for this mod came out of a desire to play against vast numbers of oponents from the outset and have any story happening in the background to a massive war across the galaxy, there are very few points when the amount of enemies thins out and you will need to fight every step of the way.

The team working on this mod includes several mappers (including myself), a modeler and a programer. we have the entire story writen out and a few cooncept maps are in production. we are looking for artists and modelers aswell as a few coders to begin work on chapter 1.

The music for the game will be Slayer (and other brutal metal) riffs worked together to make a soundtrack that realy gets adrenilin pumping. This side of the project will be handled by myself and only has to be recorded once the first map is finalised.

Our team will also be modding the way HL2 works making singleplayer teamplay more accesable and we are almost finished the new range of weaponary that is based on factions rather than type e.g. there are several forms of handgun because there are more than one faction and they use differant guns instead of one generic pistol ect. We have planed several multi-player maps with a Co-Op mode and a mode based on the AVP scermish mode alongwith others like ripoff's of assault, onslaught and invasion modes from UT2004 and story based mp maps that will make your teams split up to acomlish goals ect.

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch Office_Block

This map is stilll being made and i havent even got more than one spawn point yet, its based on the office map for cs but with an extra floor and loads of office furniture like tables, pc's ect. There will be several more rooms on the ground floor than in cs and a lift conecting it with the 1st. the first floor will be mainly open but with lots of tables, blocking the stairs means that the floor is holdable but once the enemy are in it will be allot harder than if the furniture was still there. The roof will be accessablefrom inside aswell as from outside.the map will be as if the office was raided by the combine, with a few destroyed tanks and lots of ruble.

Its a Aim map with a little twist added to it. There are two different spawnpoints for each team so Its bound to have some intresting firefights.

Dodgeball!!! Play with teams, free for all or make up whatever game you want using equipment from the store room!

Update: Changed the ball (thanks for the suggestion, Lep) and added a store room containing 4 barrels and 3 more balls. The barrels can be used to posts or whatever, do whatever you want!

Half-Life 2: Deathmatch prison_grav

This is my first map ever, and will be very crappy in the beginning. I plan to create something functional and find out if it is fun, and then make it pretty. The basic Idea is Cell-block type rooms around the perimiter (players spawn in these). Each room will have different types of projectiles for the gravity gun. There will be a pit-like arena in the main middle portion of the map. One challenge will be designing the map so that the cell-block & hallway areas are fun too.

Update: I got online with it and had some fun. Unfortunately my machine lags everyone out pretty bad once I get more than 5 people on the server

Note: Screen2 is newer than the version available for download. I started from scratch and the version I'm working on isn't playable yet.

This map will be in a large, fenced off area, outside, with plenty of rubble, broken stuff and other things.

There will also be an underground section, that is the cliche'd "bunker type thing", but with tables, TABLES I TELL YOU!!!!.....and maybe a TV.

Topside will look like an area of countryside that has just been shelled half to death, then fenced off for little or no reason.

Half-Life: Deathmatch Persian Letters

RELEASED AUGUST 2004. People's Choice of 2004 Snarkpit Competition.
To install: open "persia" in the .zip, and extract the 5 or 6 folders into "valve". I don't know why it's even in "persia", I'm stupid.

When I played Prince of Persia, what really stuck out for me was the level design. All of it was very seamless and connected - you had a genuine feeling of where you were going throughout the palace and it all seemed like one place. Flash forward a few months. I slave away at the last second and barely pump out a map for the competition. I'm such an idiot!
