I saw one of these advertised at a truck stop this last run. Tell me honestly, would there ever be a time where you could use one of these? If you were sitting still, you'd prolly not be in the car and if you were driving you couldn't use it at all.

Here is another type/example.

Seriously, no one sane would ever purchase one of these.

I found out that Gravity bends light and affects the flow of time.

If you have two clocks keeping perfect time at sea level and ontop of a mountain.

the one on the mountain will run slower than the one at sea level. OMFG!!! that is so crazy, that is SO crazy and wild I dont see why people arn't bonkers over physics, holy s**t do you know how wild and crazy that is?!!??!

Hah, sween. Also, if you take two perfectly in sink clocks, and
put one with a guy and make him run around a lot, that clock moves
slower (or faster, I can't remember)

Although, if it's just a guy running around with a clock, it's not
exactly going to be noticed

Still. Now I can make a pun about 'running late'. Thanks!

Whether it goes faster or slower depends on the point of view, and once you get deep enough into relativity, loses its meaning anyway.

Check this out...

They have finally gotten the definition of Homophobia to one I agree with. It never should have said, "Fear of homosexuals." No body fears a homo.

Well, its more to my belief since it still has a couple inconstancies. I do not understand the "fear of sameness" or "monotony" parts. Those two are simply silly.

Caligynephobia- is one I laughed at most.

Recently found out that Richard Matheson's vampiric novel, "I Am Legend", is being adapted to film yet again. Thankfully, this time, it appears to be well adapted (just guessing because of who's attached to it and the title is unaltered).

Francias Lawrence (Constantine) is attached to the project as director, which has me optimistic.

Richard Matheson is also responsible for the novels behind What Dreams May Come, Stir of Echoes, Duel, and the two previous movies adapted from I Am Legend are: The Omega Man (1971) and The Last Man on Earth (1964).

Apparently, one of his other novels, "The Shrinking Man" has been announced to be re-adapted ... or remade, since the other movie was called The Incredible Shrinking Man as is this version.

Hopefully, these adaptations will be better than ones before it, since What Dreams May Come is an example of a Matheson novel properly adapted. Given the rich material Matheson writes about, it would actually be difficult to not make a good movie based on them ... but it has happened before. I stay optimistic, however, with Lawrence attached I have no fears. Yet, Shrinking Man has Keanen Ivory Waynes attached as the director ... the "smartest" movie he's ever made was "White Chicks" ...

... Yeah ... Chew some gum it might help get the bad taste out of your mouth.
Blame it on Microsoft, God does.

I need a "Thumbnail Generator" guys.

Not a "Web Thumbnail Generator" but a genuine thumbnail making program.

Preferably, one that can do multiple images at once.

Web generators make pages for posting on websites.

bumps

I know that some of you are prolly laughing but this is becoming a serious issue.

I have found so far:

10 dead links and
about a dozen Web thumbnail generators.

Doesn't anyone know a free thumbnail maker thats just a thumbnail maker?

I do not want an entire webpage, I only want to make a few thumbs so I can write a new tutorial.

Yes, before you ask, I could have already made a bunch of resized images using PSP and don't think that I haven't already kicked myself in the ass for not doing so but, I thought it would be simple as going to www.download.com

What does this have to do with "recently found" ???

I recently found that its hard as hell to find a thumbnail generator on 56k. Just another reason why I hate it.

I have come to the conclusion, after many hours of effort that... This tutorial will have to wait until I get back from this run.

I never imagined it would be this hard to find a stupid program.

Macros are a set of actions which you record, and then at the press of a button they are repeated. You could, for example, hit "record new macro" and do the following...

Resize the image to 200x150
Tweak the brightness and contrast
Sharpen
Save the file with "_thumb.jpg" appended to the filename
Close the image

...then stop recording. Now you just open up a bunch of images, select one, and hit the "play" button for your macro. All of the above actions will be carried out quickly and automatically. You can also set up batch processing in most of these programs so that it will automatically run the macro on all the images in a folder, or the like.

Now actually using these tools depends one which on you have, but if you search for your graphics package of choice and "macro recording" or something you should find plenty of tutorials explaining it.
