That's how, I had come up with it out of necessity. But now it seems useless since Alt+Click is way easier.

The much-buzzed 500GHz IBM chip is NOT a microprocessor, it's the same kind of chip you have in your cell phone. The achievement isn't in processing power, but taking advantage of previously inaccessable ranges of the radio spectrum.
Ultra-high-frequency silicon-germanium circuits have potential applications in many communications systems, defense systems, space electronics platforms, and remote sensing systems.
It's basically signal processing and transmitting from what I understand. If I understand correctly it could be used for long-range, highly-accurate radar (sub-millimeter wavelength and whatnot).

While that is a major achievement, it's not the revolution in computing some of the articles and forum posts etc. make it out to be.

Looks pretty fake to me. Look at the shadow on the guy. Plus the people in the vehicles don't even notice him and keep driving. But yea, look at the shadows when he's under the bus.

I found out that XP has even more useless stuff running on the
background eating resources than I had known before. Take a look yourself: Run the following at startmenu: services.msc

I also found that the talk about Linux being faster that windows on
same machines is true. I just wish there were linux versions of
Steam and its apps. The difference isn't that much, but its noticeable.
I've heard of some estimates of about 7% of difference on really memory
and processor intensive tasks.

It'd be a larger advantage if they used a different file system, like LFS. It'd be at least as fast, but usually far faster.

But it's harder to manage.

I recently found, and lost a bet: Richard Harris played Albus Dumbledore In HP.

I never would have guessed...

This is the same man who said those famous words "I am not an animal, I am a man..."

Sad that he died. I like his Dumbledore far better than the new guy doing it.

Did you like it?
