back when i had my beard and did a considerable amount of drinking if i wanted to trim it i would just get a lighter.

it works but you have to be on you toes to slap it out in time.<br style="color: white;">

Pffft, some weird people at my school burn their arm hairs with a lighter, and I tell ya the smell is terriable. It kinda smells like 2 quartz rocks after you hit em hard with each other to make a spark.

I went missing for almost two weeks, and I forgot to bring a razor. Now I'm wondering if I should shave it all off just yet, or wait a lil' while. Opinions? I don't need them for the more annoying hairs, but I do for the potentially stylish ones.

If you can't grow a proper covering all around the correct areas for a goatee/full beard I wouldn't bother.

I shave my beard off once every couple of months on a whim and I have a goatee back within 2 days... anything over 10 days to me would say it's not worth bothering with. Anyhoo, there is the ubran myth (is it true?) that shaving often makes it grow back more quickly and more thickly.

edit: It ain't true!
Clinical studies have demonstrated that shaving does not have an effect on hair growth rates or density

An unmarked quote? I'm inclined to believe it.

I believe I'll shave all but the hairs on my chinny-chin-chin, but I'm still waiting...

I believe the myth is based on the idea (which may be true) that the hairs first come out really thin, when you shave you cut off the fine ends and are left with thick hair stumps, so as they grow you now have hair that is thicker and more visible, rather than faster-growing.

Or its all just a load of crap anyway. If I dont shave for a day my face looks like its got sand on it.

Clinical studies have shown that men who shave their heads will still go bald, while grannies that shave their mustaches will still end up with a freddy mercury.
