I think what this points at is how non-comparative different education systems are in different areas. Politicians everywhere in the country like to make names for themselves, so they go about parading "family values" or "separation of church from state" or whatever will get them press where they are. In some places, this means attempting to ban evolution teaching, in other areas this means removing the line "one nation under God" from the pledge of allegiance. By and large - schools teach evolution. By and large - no one really notices/cares that the line from the pledge of allegiance even exists, despite repeating it all the time. Still, the quality of education varies based on affluence of the community and the local politics.

You are allowed to teach evolution, but a lot of "creationists" want big stickers on books and reminders in class that "it's only a theory," and for their own views to be also put to children in science classes - the problem here being that creationism is not a scientific theory, since it cannot be tested and it is not based on any observation made of the world. Further worries are that creationists want their own Judeo-Christian God promoted (in place of, say, Allah), and they now have this "intelligent design" idea masquerading as a more serious "scientific theory" (the belief being that some God (preferably theirs) is guiding creatures evolution- again with the problem that this is untestable, and ignores mass extinctions, redundancy etc.). Perhaps the most dangerous aspect of it all is that they ignore the weight in favour of evolution simply because of some shaky logic that the Bible must be a literal truth...

Back on topic-

I found it quite interesting how the good looking girls from school ended out the uglier ones later, and vice versa. Anyone else notice that?

Yeah, that's what attracted me to my wife in the first place. She's intelligent and culturally sophisticated, but not in a geeky way (like I am). We can sit at the dinner table and discuss our Wireless network configuration.

She's also very atheletic (she's the only girl I know who can run faster and longer than me). She usually runs between 10 miles (16 km) to 18 miles (29 km) a day. I just can't keep up with her.

bull s**t needs to stop. It is true that personality helps alot
but people are going to judge you on how you look, we are getting kids
ready for a big let down in life. Not to mention the fact that if
we hide sex and other sins from kids they are only going to find them
later in life, and that is how pedofiles get started imo. Some
one who is sexualy repressed turns to strange sex acts later in life
when all the smut they were never able to see just comes at them from

One of my original intents for starting this thread is to dispell the myth that size matters. For anyone who's been following this thread, you can clearly discern that size of the breasts (and other parts) is mostly irrelevant. True, there are exceptions to the rule, but the vast majority of the SnarkPitters actually prefer smallish breasts/butts.

Strangely, most women believe that guys just want big breasts, and the larger the better. That Selma Blair photo is to mock this misconception. There are some guys out there who love large breasts, but they're not the majority.

Along the same line, women don't care for large penises. I've asked my ex-girlfriends and my wife, and they never have any preference about the size of the genitalia of their lovers. It's how they are used that really counts.

So for all the guys who worry their endowment not measuring up to the rest, relax. Size doesn't matter in this regard.

I personally disagree with your thoughts in a sense, as a drawn,
modelled, or otherwise designed female still has many of the different
"components" that make up everybody's individual tastes in women. I'm
not just talking size of breasts here either; they can be imbued with
personality and a sense of style, in the way they are presented,
clothes they have, and so on. Sure, they don't have the nuances and
flaws that make real women so interesting, but these "perfectionised"
females can still feature the various specifics that appeal to people.

That said, when these characters start getting involved in things like
hentai, or "Playboy: The Mansion" style games, or anything that
actually attempts to get a rise out of people in the literal sense of
the word, it becomes a little creepy :biggrin:

I think you people are looking in the wrong direction for misproportioned video game heroines. You shouldn't look at supermodels or real girls you know. You should look at comic books. This is what all those concept artists were involved in prior to the advent of highly graphicalized video games. And comics have always been known for women with rather oversized breasts. But this exaggerated sexuality is not limited just to the women, look at the ahnold-style pects and shoulders that adorn nearly every single male.

Why the exaggeration? Is it a representation of loner-inspired hypersexuality? No. The answer is simple - it makes for a more dynamic figure that is more interesting to draw and view. Find your favorite superhero comic cover, and then imagine the characters in the same poses with actual human-shaped bodies. It just wouldn't hold the same compositional merit.

The huge difference: the movement involved with a 3D character has always been kind of blocky, and only recently has the engine technolog developed to the point to where this exaggerated human style of character can even get close to taking on the dynamic poses that inspired the form in the first place. Honestly, a dexterity reminiscient of C3PO is not sufficient to take advantage of the stylized body frame.

Well put! This is true in a number of games, but far too many use
the T&A to get more sales or get their game noticed. As a
rule I almost never buy a game that has a picture of a non-lead female
character who isn't full dressed.

I am almost insulted when developers try and sell a game to my penis
rather than to me. I mean girls in all these games always have on
booty shorts and torn tank tops, or body armor that covers maybe 15% of
their body. It just makes me sick when I see this crap, its like
playing a coke add all the girls are great looking and dont fit the
setting at all.

Going back to DrGlass saying about personality and looks- I think statistics showed that people judge you by your looks within 7 seconds, and to change that opinion takes along time.

Personality is judged within 30 seconds I think until there is a major change (but thats usually done from viewing a video or something, not speaking to someone for the first time- 'cus that gives a different view).

Oh and that girl- she looks between 12 and 15. She doesn't have curves yet. When you get to my grand age you'll spot a woman quickly rather than a girl :razz:
