Well excuse my english, its not the best one. ^^
So, it's one kind of duality map for hl2dm, inspired from a cult manga all done with my textures and models.
Concerning the gameplay, it's really not for many players, maybe 4 max

Star map!
The map is based on an island off the coast of City17. Smaller than it looks. For the Valve mapping contest.

I mainly intend this source file to be a teaching tool for helping mappers learn how I achieved certain effects. However, feel free to use this source as you see fit. If you want to include parts of Island17 in your map, that is OK. Just give credit where credit is due.

This map is a remake of the classic Half-Life Deathmatch level 'Gasworks' and is my first public release

I have added some xtra areas and extended other parts of the original

Beta time! I've sent the bsp to fileplanet (sorry about that - its the only free zip hosting place I know), but for those of you who don't want to wait for weeks to download it the vmf is at Filefence, as usual.
Readme is in the post at Filefence (they don't host txts) and is included in the zip at fileplanet.

Please note that fileplanet haven't told me that they've hosted it yet.

PS: Thanks to Interlopers.net for the reviews / fixing nasty texture bug that made half the texture fullbright for no reason / critism about the lighting etc etc

We (the MOB-mapper guild) built this map, because there are less than a few outdoor-maps in CSS (we know now why). The difficulty in this map was the lightning in the tunnel, the view-range and the displacements (try to make hostages go up displacement-hills).Only by optimizing the map strictly we achieved a playable version for multiplayer. PLAY IT! type connect mob.game-server.cc in your CSS-Console

Unreal Tournament 2004 Focal Point Assignment

Class Assignment 1
Create a room you might find in a functional level that has a focal point.

The level includes 25 custom prop models created and textured by myself. The level is my first time using Unreal 2004, I was given a week to learn the editor and create the level. Given more time I would've tweaked the lighting more, created better more detailed skins for the models, and added the planned volumetric light to illuminate the statue more.

This is my first map ever, I never mapped before. I started two months ago. basically I never planed any thing, I just went along and used it to learn mapping.
This map work with CS bots and the nav file is included.

Map support 32 players, 16 per spawn.

Most of the map is over 70 FPS and more and this is with P4 3.0 Ghz tested on a server alone. With 16 players FPS are over 40 in the lowest part with action players around and the map seemed smooth for all tester. I will now start a new map aim for DOD Source my game I play everyday.Please feel free to comment on the map.

Hey. I'm an amateur mapper I figured out how to do my stuff by mapping some stuff in Unreal 2k4 a while back and then source came out and I just had to try mapping with the new engine. Lotsa tuts and memorizing.

Outside is a dead forest, (I wish there were better tree models), the building has one small gate 5 windows and a shootable keypad that opens the gate. Inside (ground level) are some dead terrorists (blood everywhere), the bombsites are downstairs and you can get there via the ladder in the building or a shed outside the buildings brick gate wall. And that .BAD. case is for my clan, just a tribute to them. And there is a secret spot that you might figure out how to get to if you're good enough.

I was inspired to make this map because the state I live in is the number one producer of meth... what an honor. By the way, DRUGS ARE BAD! Anyway, here's the crappy story.

Ok, a group terrorists have been operating a small methlab in the forest of Missouri for the past year and are working for one of the biggest drug cartels in the world. The Terrorist cell has been exporting the goods in concrete bags to thier cartel. The counter terrorist were sent to take over the lab and collect evidece to prosecute the cartel and imprison him. They took it over but haven't finished acquiring the evidence. Another group of terrorist in the Jihadist training ground nearby heard the shots. They went through the thick woods to go see what had happened. The Terrorists saw a squad of Counter-Terrorists walking into the what I like to call the building. The Terrorists knew what they had to do to stop the Counter-Terrorists, blow them up..

I just gave HLDM mapping a try, check out the screens.

"gimmick" because the map has a lot of gimmicks:
-subtransit-style train
-snark generator
-usable tank cannon
-laser trap
etc. etc.
