Why on earth would you want a freehand polygon tool? You've seen what happens when you try to freehand in Paint or something, just imaging if such horrors could be transferred to map geometry

Often I only use the brush tool once per map, I tend to leave it after the first few brushes. That Shift + Drag concept is pretty handy, I really have to memorize my shortcuts so I can have a completely uncluttered workspace.

Nononono... well, yes, maybe, but you can always quit by pulling your PCs power lead out, and start a new map by opening an existing one (make it in notepad if you have to!) and deleting everything- save comes in handy here because you don't have to open an existing map, delete everything, and create a map in a single sitting.

i hate to point out this fact to you crazy mofos who vote for "save, exit, etc." notice the word TOOL... save, exit, new map, these are all not TOOLS, they are functions of the program. TOOLS are located on your TOOLS bar...duh
*takes his hammer TOOL and beats everyone about the face and neck* MUAHAHA
FAV TOOL: vertex manipulation.

It took me a sec to figure out the cloning...you have to select a brush first, either in 3D or 2D mode...then hold shift and drag wherever you want.
