Small addition, added the number of people who are watching your map (next to the views on the profile page). When I make a proper watching page in the CP I'll make a list of who's watching.

I'm not sure, but I think they may have been removed as the number of people looking at your map isn't really relevant to the bugs and suggestions thread

This is correct. I'm just trying to keep this thing tidy as it is 78 pages long :razz:

I know I've already asked this but... will the quotes be fixed? Ever? Is it possible to only use tags (could that be an optional thing?)

What do you mean by 'fixed'?

Sometimes theyll have an extra empty line at the bottom that you cant delete... Apart from that, I just dont like the interface, its rather cumbersome. Reminiscent of putting graphics/objects into MS Word in fact...

If you don't like the interface, use the standard textarea, there's no easier way to do it :razz: N

this "auto notification" feature is coolness, but i have a request.

is there a way to inform us where it originated from? although i have no issues with it in practice, i want to know for certain that i crossed a line or am just being unduly censored.

wrong is one thing, censorship is unforgivable.

i heard someone suggesting a 'last seen' catagory in the memberlist. it sounds like a good idea in general, even though the discussion was only really about keeping a closer watch on mephs' movements. :wink:

I can't to set internet explorer show screenshot of my prefarb. It shows "unloaded image" icon, but to see that screenshot, you must to press that "unloaded" icon. That's mean hiperlinks are good, and they are working. But some thing is wrong with that. I think I've done every thing all right and it should to work...

This is modyfication of prefarb made by Kevin Quang (megalixer@hotmail.com). A U.S. Army UH-60 Black Hawk transport helicopter for use in an airbase map or for those repelling marines seen in the game. Its not an exact replica beacause I wanted to keep the face count down but it is very close. There are two machineguns in b.h. The main rotor and tail rotor uses a func_rotate but can be removed if desired. There is also an ambient_generic on the rotor with an apache like sound. I left it pretty much green but thats how the real Blackhawk looks so it works fine but add any decals to your liking.

Predator, try uploading a larger image for the screenshot.

It's linked into the Javascript menus now, either you have them and no forums, or no menus and forums on the left. You'll get used to it :razz:

I resized screenshot to 500X325 px, then upload and it still,want to work. Maybe I need to more resized. What do you think about?

On another note, is anyone else having crazy cookie problems (with regards to last visit)?

No cookie problem for me, but I found that I cannot access my pit anymore.

I tryed another time, but now when I want to upload screenshot + file (the same version that older) it browsing me a window "Could not upload the file" or somethink like that. When I uploaded only a screensot:

On my system date is 17.02.2005.

That may be because of the Timezones? OKtagone's new servers are in
australia, where it probably was 18th feb when the update happened.

Lep, did you move the Pit to a different server already? Everything loads very fast now for me.

I suspect that Snarkpit is faster because there are about 1/3 the users online at any given time.

It would pertain to who has solved the most editing questions.

isn't it possible to upload a model through your control panel yet?

i tried a couple of times, but it just refreshed the page after a few secs.

Most helpful? that would encompass all aspects of editing, including detailed critiques.. how exactly would a program be able to differentiate between solving editing questions and the rest of the steps involved in being "MOST" helpful??

I don't undersatnd. If Oktagone couldn't even pay its bills on
time, how can it afford to get a server upgrade? Did he just
borrow huge sums of money that he can never dream of repaying and use
the upgrade as a last-ditch gimmick to retain its customers?

Lep, do you know what's going on? I am afraid that if SnarkPit
stays with Oktagone for too long, then the two-week disaster will
repeat itself. Expect that this time it'll be permanent.

I think Oktagone is just living on borrowed times. Like I said, it's Enron on a smaller scale.

most questions? thats to focused IMO. tutorials is just as important, so are critiques, and models for that matter. hell, i have prolly rated more new members than anyone else has, lets have most "involved", or would most "over-rated" be more my label?

Lep, having Marty Feldman as your picture is not really setting a good example for the gallery. I thought the idea was to keep it as 100% true as possible, given that its 100% relied on the members honesty when submitting a real picture.

You know on "your" stats page it says "solved X# of editing problems"
(I have 27) that would be the determining number alone, just to see who
has been the best question answerer (If thats a real word).

upon reflection, i grasp your idea well enough, but still feel that answering posted questions is but a small portion of being helpful. editing, and problem solving is made up of many actions, sometimes very subtle ones.
anywho's, i think any system that rewards is a good one, even one that only rewards part of the process.

I've made something which should hopefully save your post in IE if you navigate away from the page, and reload it when you click the 'restore text' link (changed from a mouseover as it doesn't seem to work correctly on some setups)

I think we should have the writing which says not to post editing
questions in general banter in bigger red writing as a couple of people
have done it in the past few days.

P.S. Snarkpit is now working at college so i'll be posting even more :biggrin:

What the, I was just about to update my map in my profile and when I clicked submit it said "Error: This is not your map so you can't edit it"
